Birchtree's Account Talk

Re: Birchtree's account talk

This morning I have the burden of $278K in buying power and I'm wondering how much damage I can do with the money. I'm obligated to spend some of it if we rally today - I'm still trying to clear my most recent buying list before I start on the next one. Mindylou is very proud of the assistance she has provided in helping me with my investment strategy. Some folks like to use systems while I'll depend on my Mindylou and her diligent attention to details. She plans to make me rich before this new bull market is finished.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

Following my assiduous strategy of buying early and often in a new bull market - probably stepping in front of the train, but then again no pain means no gains. Bought: ASH, ARJ, AOS, ALB, AKS, AGO, AGCO, ABM. Financials and materials may lead the market up today.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

This market is forcing me to chase the momentum as it moves higher. Went back into the market to gather a few more lonely wall flowers: ANF, AYI, BKH, BRC, BRO, CNP, CNS, CVG. I've been listening to the socialist rhetoric of BHO in several speeches today - he's another eloquent Bill so full of bull tinky and chicken sh*t.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

Earlier I sold my AIG and C. Today I bought them back at a higher price. I'm going to keep them in the stable from now on.

I still own AIG and C. We could be early in the new bull market. The equity market resembles 1975-1982, when the S&P 500 doubled. We are in I believe the greatest bull market of the decade. Hedge fund money still seems bearish but then again big money does not mean smart money. They will eventually capitulate to the bullish side and when they do the largest short squeeze I've been waiting on will transpire. It could also be historic. Today looks to be weak - but could recover.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

I'm still chasing this bull and buying on the highs: DELL, DSX, FAF, FBP, FHN, GMR, GPC, GPX, GXP, HD. I don't plan to sell my C for a very long time and will buy positions all the way to $40.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

I see you are going about this in A-B-C order. If you don't already own ZMH, how long before you consider it.;) And I agree with your stand on OHO. :D

Re: Birchtree's account talk

Barton Biggs says 1200-1250 on the SPX before any significant correction. He says it takes courage to be a pig - staying fully loaded. I have a feeling the wife will decide to banish me to the barn if I can't get this sweet smell of superlative bull manure off my tender body - it sure feels great making a few dollars today. I'm looking forward to tomorrow. Snort.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

"Stock market bubbles can be exciting. And I encourage anyone with the adequate nerve and a substantial enough portfolio to take advantage of this one. There is still enough cash on the sideline to 'buyout' the entire S&P 500. With many money management firms approaching their October year-end, the performance pressure, subsequent bonus pressure, and ultimately career risk, continues to increase geometrically as the equity markets rally."

Re: Birchtree's account talk

I don't think you need to have a substantial portfolio to take advantage of this one. Well, at least I don't consider mine to be as substantial as I'd like. You just need the nerve. X% is X% return regardless.

I am enjoying following yours and other's posts. It's time to start posting for me.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

Mindylou has informed me that she has gotten a signal - there it was scrawled in her litter box the three letters BUY. Granted, she can be very prescient but we have not back tested this particular system so we must approach with caution. But I'm a buyer today if we rally. Never fade the Kress cycle is my moto along with be in to win. If I can get a good day I'll be closer to my goal of a $100K week - but I'm prepared for the let down.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

I'm taking advantage of the Mindylou buy signal and buying early and often. So far today: HNR, HNZ, HRL, HSTX, INT, KG, KMGB, KNL, KOP, KRO. This is now a total of 481 individual purchases since 6/26/09. Here's a glimpse of my long market value for my oceanic account: $2,033,075.41. I've still got many more purchases to make and plan to continue with my discipline of dollar cost averaging all the way up the big V valley. The NYSE has broken out nicely today from its resistance line that now becomes support. Snort.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

Getting ready to bust through the 1060 gap resistance - get prepared for a catapult move up as we squeeze more bears from their short hair positions. I'm starting to feel the animal spirits. Now that we've taken out DJIA of 9654 the rise to 10,495 will not be contested.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

I'm keeping track of the VIX for sure as it drops. I am feeling hoofhearted right now and just finished a little more buying: APL, CDI, STI, RES, GE, RF, SNV, DDR, BYD, CNX, CRI, BBT. If we break 100 points today I'll be buying again. The NYSE Composite is the leader again today going to over 7013.

Re: Birchtree's account talk

Well can't possibly imagine the pain that is being delivered today to the bears, but it makes me happy, happy. Broke the 100 points up so bought: WFC, BEZ, SIG, PCX, ACC, KR, ATN, BLC, HUN. Thanx to my Tonkinese investment adviser for compiling the new buy list. If we take the Dow up 125 points I'm back in to buy more - no fear here. Snort.
