ATCJeff's Account Talk

After retirement flying will be my second career. I currently do some corporate flying, mostly King Air's, on the side as well as instruction.

I have thought of becoming a DE. Who knows.

If I ever had enough money....a king Air would be my choice for a family hauler. I fly helicopters for CBP AMO I have the opportunity to pick up Citation and King Air ratings (On the tax payer's dime ;) ), but I really don't want to hassle with it right now. Besides, my nose bleeds when I fly above 500 feet AGL! I think I 'll wait until I get close to retirement and then try them on for size. Congrats again, that's a big milestone in a pilot's career.

Yes. Just got back home in Atlanta. I passed my ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) checkride today. Flew 8.8 hours today and I'm beat.

Congrats on your ATP checkride! My oldest son and I got our private pilot’s license in my Piper warrior. Both of my brothers are pilots too, one fly’s 777’s and the other flew his Cessna 150 on a roundtrip from Florida to Alaska and back. My son was thinking about getting out of the air force and getting his BA and getting an ATP. The demand for professional pilots is going to be red hot as all of those baby boomers retire! Good luck with your flying career.

Moving over to the G to get the penny. Thinking it will pay Monday. But tomorrow is a small chance. Plus I think the jobs report could move the market down.

On another note. I had a IFT not go through again this week. It did not effect my return since the F fund has not paid all week. But two in two weeks has me concern. For now I am being extra careful when I make IFT's.

Dunno, they just didn't show up. I can't believe that I made an error twice.
That is weird for sure, sometimes I wished an IFT didn't go through, but I've never had one fail. Sometimes it's taken a few hours to show up, but has always gone through. Maybe sent an email to the administrator asking, sometimes there might be a glitch and if they don't know about it there is nothing they can do.

Gonna wait for a third time. I am double checking now to make sure they are accepted. Before I never did go back and try to make another IFT to see if the screen would come up asking to change or cancel the pending IFT. Now I am doing this. Well see.....

BTW, I decided to stay in tomorrow. 50s/50i

Moving 100% I COB today. Today should be a huge day in the USM. Looking to make some green Monday on the OSM follow through.

Could be different this time, but I remember last May. Markets were up big on Friday, sucked me in, and sold off Monday.

Was expecting bigger rally this morning. Just a little concern creeping in now. I may change to a 50g/50I. Still looking.....

Decide to take my profits. Greed will kill. Anyway, I'll take Monday's penny from the G and develop an attack plan for next week over the weekend.

Hope you are having a happy birthday Jeff!

We were up towards your way today, went to the Ralph Lauren store at Tanger at Locust Grove to look for shirts....my impatient husband got mad and was rude to everybody. He has worn RL shirts for years, but they recently discontinued the Blakes, which fit him perfectly, and went to the Classic, which is shorter in the tail and won't stay tucked in.

Don't know about ya'll, but the smoke from the wildfires is really getting us here in South West GA, even though we are no where near Waycross.

Happy BDAY,
GA

Thanks for the B-wish GaGal.

I'm staying put in the F fund for tomorrow. First, I don't see the USM moving at all in the morning. After the Fed meeting, I'm hoping for a hint at a rate cut. That should push bond yields down and prices up. If we get a hint of a rate increase, watch out. The markets will tank.

OSM market play looks to risky. The dollar is up today and the I fund has been over-extended for a few days. It was due for a pull-back.

I'm going to play it safe and protect my gains.

Got lucky and got a penny from the F fund. OSM are down a little as I write, but it's early. Hoping a correction gets started tomorrow.
