ATCJeff's Account Talk

Congrats on ya'lls gains trading TNA. I've just started trading SDS/SSO per Tom's recommendations, but would like to chase better rewards using TZA/TNA trades. I have a Scottrade account that costs me $7 per trade. Am I paying too much for trades? If there is a better option, please let me know. Thanks

I also use Scotttrade for my "play money". $7 per trade doesn't bother me since my account balance is high. The percentage is very, very low. I'm sure better options are available.

My son uses TNA / TZA instead of SSO/SDS [with Plus System] because his account is small and it gives more bang for the buck. But so you know, SSO/SDS has done better in 8 years of back tested. A lot of that had to do with 2008 losses, but with small caps under-performing this year, I don't really know how it's done lately.

Thinking I'll stay in until we hit 2150ish (3 1/2%) on the S&P. Here's hoping we have a great January and New Year!

Decided to sell SDS early. Just sold all for $23.08. Bought @ $21.90 5.39% gain! :D

Looking at the market one hour into today's trading and in my opinion we could be looking at a few breakouts. Could market highs be right around the corner? I guess the jobs report tomorrow will determine if we hit new highs next week or start another leg down.

Tom's I fund theory is looking good. The EFA has to be right at it's 200 EMA, right? Could it be time to finally jump into the I fund? Would higher oil prices push the dollar down? so many questions.......

This coming Monday I mail off my paper work to KC for my retirement Dec. 31, 2015.

90 something days to go:D

Congrats ATC, I have been in the club for 17 months and YES it's fantastic. Don't chicken out and don't take a part time job, that's not TRUE retirement. Even if your not going anywhere or doing anything,it would still be your choice and ahhhhhh what a feeling to be free to do absolutely nada if that is what you choose to do. The best to you.
