Wise men say don't take financail advice from those who aren't independently wealthy. In that vain, I thought this might be interesting

This misrepresents the issue as well as it doesnt consider the amount of time the account has been open. For instance, the opinion of someone who has $15k in the account after 1 year of contributions is very different than the opinion of someone who has the same $15k after 10 years.

It might be a good idea to spend some time here and let us get to know you before you take it upon yourself to do something like polling the Talk participants.

Excellent point, Chem

AlteredEgo - what agency do you work for, what city do you live in, how long have you been in TSP, what is your favorite color, and what do you think of the electromagnetic storms influencing the markets? Thanks in advance.

I made the audacious statement some time back that a 20% gain on a little money still left one with only a little money. And unfortunately as a result of that acrimonious comment one of our long time participants got huffy. So the moral of this story is that big percentages don't necessarily equate to any great sums. If a member has a $50,000 balance they can gamble with impunity without much gain or damage. The more you play with the more dangerous the game and the heavier the consequences - but also comes the opportunity to excell and make considerable green. Don't be in a rush - learn before you churn.

7 Simple ways to get yourself Banned from TSP Talk Message Boards:

#4) Intentionally post false or misleading information, including the use of dual aliases.

I have protested this before and will attempted to do it better again.

If there is a snake in the grass, identify them so that the rest of us will not get blind sided when they come back. A liar and a deceiver should be shown for what they are. What is the sense of having a darn (you have forced me to use strong language:cheesy: ) "Reputation" indicator if you will not let us know who is being deceptive in their posting. You are patronizing them by not "outing" them and letting them continue to hide in the shadows while you keep us in the dark.

How can there be trust on the MB if we do not know who the deceiver is? Anonymity is their reward and they will continue.

Based on those I've seen leave and the arrival of new people, probably not much.....Not slamming, just that it works out even in the end!
