Account numbers are coming in October '07...

We can pay extra for one-day mail delivery because of where we live. We can pay but it's guaranteed to make it in two days. I didn't mean to insult anyone that works in the mail or shipping business. I chose to live here and I like the isolation. Our nearest hospital and pharmacy are 90 miles away. Also, it is a four-hour drive to the nearest airport that can handle jets. Again, no problem with mail delivery. HOWEVER, talk to me how half of the post office boxes are rented by people in Mexico!

got mine yesterday, small dark blue envelope, use caution as it looks like a Best Buy or Blockbuster video coupon envelope. If it's not alphabetical, it could be SSN or TSP enrollment date, or...maybe call TSP info and ask :)

Mine came yesterday also... thought it was my wifes Netflix... be careful!
And a long 13 digit number. good for security??? I have to carry this card around now instead of having a number I have always known?Hope I never lose or have my wallet stolen!

Somebody ripe'n on my co-workers? Don't make me step up on my soap box!!! :D I am know to rant from time to time. :D

Just a taste. First, no tax monies used to support the USPS. All revenue from our customers, NOT from tax payers.

Those of us in Michigan are having it delivered by Pack Mules I do believe.

If the Mules are pulling Wagons it could take longer.

LOL

What I said here was taken way out of Context to say the least.

It was off the wall, and not directed at any delivery service. Wasn't even thinking of it that way when I said it.

Was not intended to hurt any ears around here.

Since I do work for the USPS, and the lack of people we do now have where I am at, and the volume of mail we have here, and the huge size of our routes, it is quite amazing how us carriers do what we do given the short amount of time each day to do it all.

Us carriers are self-motivated, and it is not motivation from our management either. Management and there micro-management way of doing things is not a motivating factor which they think it is. It is useless.

But, I do hope to be home when this does arrive just to see if a Mule with Wagon does show up. LOL

Spotted in my neighborhood yesterday........

Neither rain, nor snow....

Nah. I won't go there.

Postal folks are some of the hardest working people out there. And I DO appreciate the amazing fact that they can get every single piece of mail addressed to me from point "A" to point "B" in a manner that no one else can begin to duplicate.

just think what would happen if ups, fedx, dhl or a private firm would deliver the mail. you could pick it up when you go to the hospital because it not worth it to them to deliver it or you would have to pay extra (sounds like tsp board extra fee for trading)

to have a postal box you must have a u.s residence maybe they are using GEORGE BUSH address how that dennis LOL

Funny Stuff Thar........James.........LOL

Reminds me of a guy I used to talk with sometimes on the route I once had. His dad delivered mail in just what your picture shows. They would also change horses during the route for a fresh horse also.

Probably a quarter of the cars I see in the parking lot have Mexican plates. One of the relatives brings in a utility bill and then all the other relatives claim that they live at the residence. They're not stupid, the USPS is far superior than any other country's mail delivery service.

George Bush may still get mail in Texas, but there's a reason we supported him for president--it was the only way to get him out of the governor's office and out of the state.

I got my account numner today nothing like another number to remember. Even better look how many numbers it is. 13!

Mine came today- Michigan.

Actually I got two. Civ account and Mil account.

Both the same number.

they could have saved the postage for the second one, and that way saved enough they won't have to start charging for IFT's . (:-)

Naw. On second thought...

I'd rather they spend the postage for two, and keep my USPS brothers employed.

My wife and I received ours yesterday. Cute little card. Are we suppose to laminate them and carry them around in our wallet with pride? :cheesy:

Got mine today I probably will never do an IFT ever again.... as I will never be able to memorize the number and sure to lose the card after about a week.

but I feel secure now.

I finally got mine today.

Interesting though, when I got home the Two Mules were sacked out and snoring away in the wagon out in the street.

There was a note attached to the wagon also. They wanted to know if they could spend the night.

I said nope. I told them there is a camper RV park down aways and they can go down yonder and park for the night.

Sheeeeeeeeeeesh LOL

If you had let them stay maybe you could of got some fertilizer for the garden next year. At least you would of got something out of the wait.
