A defensive strategy for the downturn
It seems we have lived through a world revolution since I last updated you on why I had put the virtual FT Fund into its most defensive position allowed under the rules. Shortly afterwards, we watched the biggest nosedive in global equity markets most of us have lived through. Since, I have sold the holdings in short-dated corporate bonds, preferring Treasuries and cash at a time of impaired company cash flows and worries about downgrades of company credit ratings.
