Dang, I still can't get through!

If weatherweenie's number is correct then its:

+.24% or +.06 cents which leaves the I-funders with -.13 cents for the day.

I wonder where FUTURESTRADER got his number.

is part of the dollar's two day resurgence due to the Chinese markets being closed? I still doubt that shuts down the currency exchanges... but I figure a lot of the chinese traders or on vacation this week and not manipulating the $ w/ downward pressure. Anyway, I hope it reverses tomorrow and we get some major bounce back in the I fund.

I've been lurking here for a couple months and thought I understood where the numbers came from. I use chemeng's i-fund lookup and for today show index change of .68% but dollar change brought it down .51% for a total of $.04. I also thought the FV yesterday ended up being around $.29 because the dollar index brought it down yesterday too. Am I working this thing wrong? I thought I had read where the EFA really isn't accurate on a day-to-day basis. Thanks for your input and all the advise you volunteer everyday.

right... efa is not the I fund & chem's lookup is good. msci eafe is the basis for the I fund then u factor in u.s. dollar, and what the u.s. markets do after 11:30 a.m. est. The U.S markets must increase or decrease by at least .50% after that time to incur a +/-FV. I believe Chem's lookup does all that factoring real-time

I 'think' the FV is multiplied to the close of the msci eafe. ??? If the market pops .60% after 11:30 then, then multply and add the .60% to the msci eafe close. That doesn't include dollar factor though or any FVC (fair value correction) from the previous day, which we are likely to see today

G 12.14 even
F 11.61 +.02 +0.17%
C 17.35 -.01 -0.06%
S 20.93 +.11 +0.53%
I 25.39 -.13 -0.51%

That's all folks. They made the FV correction and it's now all even.
