OEX is losing steam and the VIX is telling me a pullback is near. I just hope we get some buyers at 3:00 est. to keep us up. Being that it's a Friday and the dollar is down, I hope that makes tougher for Barclay to do a -FV.:worried:

do what you fear most and then you will overcome fear. I am staying 100% in the I Fund. I have a gut feeling it will explode to the upside in the next few weeks. This inflationary pressure will be tamed through words. The Fed knows that they cannot hike or they will commit a huge blunder. They need more solid real estate sales to do that. Also, businesses are starting to spend and take-over/merge, they will destroy that. US Dollar is being rewarded lately because of profit-takers. But, you watch and see the pullback on the US Dollar comeback>>
Posted yesterday...like I said..tamed numbers for inflation

06/15/07 I-fund 1.315% MSCI 1.32%

I think I now know why you think the I fund is overpaid by 1.1%. Today for example, your assumption that the I fund got paid 1.315% is false. I know it's only .015%, but over time, it adds up. To be honest, I know how you came up with that, but why would you even make that assumption?

I'm just trying to help.:)

I don't understand what you are saying. What is false about the 1.315%? (24.66-24.34)/24.34 = 1.315%. You are suppose to divide by yesterday's price. You are dividing by today's price to get 1.298%, right?

Another thing, on Dec 29, 2006 the I-fund closed at $22.22 (there wasn't a UfV) and today it closed at $24.66. That if 10.98% YTD. On the Barra website, it says that MSCI EAFE is up 9.15% YTD (today). How do you explain that?

I just checked the MSCI site for the first time today and it's showing the EAFE gaining 1.317% today. Did it show 1.32% when you checked it?

There are a two pages on the MSCI site that I know of to check the price. This page (with some newly added features) rounds to the nearest hundredth. This page rounds to the nearest thousandth but yesterday the current price wasn't available there yet when I posted.

Ed.

I see. I would prefer that we use the page that rounds to the nearest thousandth or just say which page the number is coming from.:)
