For the last few years, Memorial Day weekend has not been good for the I Fund.

2004 - a loss of -02 cents
2005 - a loss of -16 cents
2006 - a loss of -25 cents

Of course, past performance gives no guarantee for the future.

The 20 day MA has become a temporary support. The key will be China tonight.
-FV might be coming today....

IMO.....When China tanks, you will looking at 3-5% correction in one day. This will destroy every market out there. It is getting close. I am a chicken and sidelined for now, until I see some more data/news.

Notice the false rally this morning. Now watch the pros start to bail out. I am looking for a deep red across the board. shorting the QQQQs
Posted above when market was in a fake rally mode. These Sharks will kill you. They were trapping new money and selling into it. Asia is going to get killed tonight. I hope everyone bailed and I hope nobody loses any capital. Hope I am wrong

1:05 PM ET

EFA (I-fund) chart is now at 79.81

-FV alert is at 79.62 (-.50%). :)

Looks like maybe a chance of -FV with a current bid and ask of 79.48 and 79.49.

Last trade at 79.66 so all looks good relative to a -fv.

White, you got that 79.66 earlier than me. Where did you go to get it? Below are movements from 11:30 AM ET to COB:

DOW JONES -.47%
S&P 500 -.50%
NASDAQ -.47%
S-FUND -.52%
EFA -.45%

Dang, you can't cut it closer than that. The last three EFA (11:30 to COB) movements of -.29%, +.46% and -.40% didn't produce any FV. It's -.45% today, so I would lean on Barclays not issuing any FV. :)

Ebb, I have a couple of brokerage accounts so just following along in real time.

I also think you are right about the blood bath. I was warned to get out yesterday but changed my IFT at the last minute from G fund to back in. (I love the risk). But as I said before the "The Dow is now working on its 8 consecutive week of higher highs and has gained over 1650 points since mid March" so I wouldn't break out the smelling salts because of today.- moving to the sidelines may not be a bad idea but let's keep things in perspective.

UPDATE: The EFA (I-fund) got adjusted from 79.66 to 79.68. As a result, the 11:30 AM to COB movement has also changed from -.45% to -.42%. :)
