Well let me see. China has gone up about 200% so if we get that 5% correction tomorrow or more I will only be up 195%. ;) Oh wait, I forgot about the Feb correction so I will only be up 187%. ;)

To me if the OSM and or the USM corrects its just another buy opportunity or at least that's the way Peter Lynch among others looked at it. This is the fun part of investing.

Here's the scenario on what Barclays might do (when +/- .50% will trigger an FV). Looking at the EFA chart:

If they use 11:30 to COB, the movement was -.40% -- not enough for a -FV.

If they use 11:00 to COB, the movement was -.51% -- enough for a -FV.

I'm not using 12:00 because I don't think they use it, but even if they did, at 12:00 to COB the movement was -.41% only.

I'm leaning on Barclays using the 11:30 to COB timeframe -- no FV.

Cross our fingers

Doesn't this FV only effect people who bought or sold I-fund shares today?
People who were already in the I-fund and didn't sell today have nothing to worry about, right?

Correct. If you are in today and in tomorrow then the FV has no effect. Only people moving in and out.

G 11.93 even
F 11.30 -.01 (-0.09%)
C 16.96 -.02 (-0.12%)
S 20.61 -.06 (-0.29%)
I 24.61 +.20 (+0.82%)

Well whaddaya know, no FV. Now it's verified that Barclays do check from 11:30 AM to COB...I hope. :worried:

I don't know about you but so far the dire predictions of another Feb. 27 correction don't seem to be playing out so far. China as of 7:30pst is up about a +.5% so ole Alan G. may not be in play right now or at least not yet. It just seems like another day at the office for asia. Should be interesting to see Europe's take on all this. ;) At half time Japan is down about .1% with the yen a wee bit stronger against the dollar so all in all not too bad. (but the day/night is still young).

Uncle Ben said there is no housing trouble
what is he smoking? Toll Brothers' Earnings Tumble As Write-Downs, Housing Market Slowdown Hurt Bottom Line ..http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/070524/earns...hers.html?.v=3 This is just a start. Spending will be curbed bigtime. Oil is skyrocketing, housing improvements are down,China frothy and Iran. Not trying to be negative, but the last few months of this rally were the PERFECT STORM to what is coming. Home Depot and Lowes both said retail sales were down. Real Estate sales are plain awful and materials to build new homes are skyrocketing because of transportation costs. Then I read this and laughed.....Orders for Big-Ticket Items Up in April...http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/070524/economy.html?.v=4..now scan to the bottom and this is the key statement.............Analysts are hoping that spending by consumers and businesses will be able to overcome the weakness in housing and keep the country out of a recession:confused:

Is that bloomberg or tsplookup?

I've got to go to a meeting at the bottom of the hour so here the early estimate - early. :)

Early estimate:
TSPLookup: -.317% or -8 cents.
bloomberg.com: -.43% or -10 cents.

bloomberg's estimates will likely be closer to the actual than TSPLookup's today due to the late movement of the US$ yesterday.

Notice the false rally this morning. Now watch the pros start to bail out. I am looking for a deep red across the board. shorting the QQQQs
