markets looking great now. I would not be surprised to see the DJIA triple digit gain ..momo is coming in .......come on +fv

Hey maybe the imaginary -fv that Barclay's took away yesterday they will give that imaginary fv back today on top of the +fv for today and, err.... Well it was just a thought.

You never no with Barclay's ;)

They better gives us something today after this runup. Sick of the games they play.EFA is almost postive now.

Final MSCI EAFE = -.364% or -.09 cents.

That only means one thing -- their cutoff for including the dollar for the I-fund estimate was at 11:00 AM EST.

It also means that it might take more to get a +FV with the dollar up after the cutoff. :(

Well the weather is nice in San Diego so off to the Hotel Del Coronado I go. I will be at the Sundeck Bar and Grill - DRINKS ARE ON ME

Got to get this hip moving (replaced).

I will toast a +FV and good luck to everyone.

Wow! It really did cut out early. With the dollar gain, it should be closer to -.5% for the I Fund. I really hope they use this afternoon's rally for a ridiculous +FV - something like 40 cents!! :) I'm dreaming.

You can't cut it closer than this. The dollar since cutoff time was way up to put an extra dent of -.25% on the I-fund. The market rallies well over +.50% which is usually enough to trigger an FV. It's all up to Barclays now. :(

I think I may be getting a handle on this FV thing on the I-fund. Yesterday, I disregarded the movement of the Dow Jones, S&P 500, etc. and concentrated on the EFA instead.

Yesterday, between 11:30 AM to COB, the EFA moved down -.29%, but if we used 12:00 PM to COB, the EFA moved down over -.50%. We expected a -FV, but didn't get one.

Today at 11:30 AM to COB, the EFA moved up +.46%, but if we used 12:00 PM to COB its up even less at +.39%. We expected a +FV, but didn't get one.
Barclay is being consistent, and I think if we follow this model we can see if we get an FV or not. Since the EFA takes into account the dollar movement, it should let us know after it closes around 4:30 PM.
