Blindsided! :(
BP First-Quarter Profit Drops 17 Percent
Tuesday April 24, 12:37 pm ET

BP was the first of the major European oil companies to report quarterly results, with most others also expected to record profit declines amid dwindling output and rising costs before a recovery in the second quarter. However, analysts said the results put BP at the bottom of the pack, particularly given its safety troubles in the United States.

I moved 50% into the I today for tomorrow. It's not quite a "no-brainer" but it is set up well for an up day tomorrow. :suspicious:

Have you been wondering lately about the historical precedent of the dollar index dropping below 80.0? Here's a monthly from 1967 t0 2000.

It could trigger a spike in gold especially with oil holding above $60.
Remember, gold was over $900/oz in '79 when the dollar tanked.
Accounting for inflation, it should be double that now.

A much bigger concern is derivatives approaching $300 Trillion!
(MarketWatch) -- The derivatives market has soared, reaching nearly $300 trillion in value. Considering the total value of the stock and bond markets combined amounts to only $65 trillion, it's worth wondering how so much extra value can be squeezed out of instruments that are essentially fake.
note: If you do the math, that is 4.6 times the GDP of the entire planet!
Additionally, 20 years ago derivatives were near zero.

Extreme but interesting; the gold-oil ratio:

FYI - Australia and New Zealand markets are closed today.

"One holiday in Australia celebrated both by Australian’s, and their New Zealand neighbors alike is ANZAC Day, on April 25th. ANZAC Day honors those who have died in wars, and most specifically troops who died fighting during the first World War. ANZAC stands for the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, and travelers will find parades and ceremonies memorializing the Army Corps in most of Australia’s major cities."
