Looks like the PPT is out working again today. Anybody noticed the volume at the bottom of the V? The USD/YEN is trying to bounce also. IF the PPT is successful today, and tomorrow's GDP/jobless claims don't surprise, we might get a rally tomorrow.

EAFE final: -.305 or -7 cents.

Japan threw off the estimate. Japan should have been about even (^N300 down -.78% and the YEN to USD up .84% at close.) However, the Japanese stocks in the EAFE wound up +.434 in USD. That made a big difference.

You better get use to it because the computers in my classroom don't have excel.:)

Imports starting to suffer http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/070328/circuit_city_layoffs.html?.v=3 I had a feeling last week about this BS and went against my gut. Something I never do.Losing1.20%That can be easily made up. However; markets are risky, not for the faint of heart. After doing some math, I need about 3.68%for my 12% gameplan. If I stay in the G Fund all year, I see about 3% left to gain, I would be short .69%.

No prob.

I don't feel any pressure, but I don't like to be "wrong." And it's fair to say that an explanation is due if the estimate is not accurate +/- .1. As you know, in making these estimates, we're making an assumption that don't always pan out. That was the case today.

I'm still confused about yesterday.

G +1
F -1
C -12
S -9
I -19!
What happened?

All I know is that yesterday the I-fund was supposed to be down -.06 cents (-.253%) as shown at the MSCI Barra site, but we ended only down -.03 cents that night.

Today, by my calculation the I-fund was supposed to be down -.16 cents and not the -.07 cents (-.305%) shown at MSCI Barra site. If we combine the -.16 cents for today and the -.03 cents they left out from yesterday, it's -.19 cents. :(

I think they may be trying to confuse us with all this. It's all becoming way too shady for my taste. :suspicious:

Well... that does add up correctly. But I sure never saw the estimate down as much as 16 cents today. If they're trying to confuse me - they're succeeding.

Tomorrow's closing price might clear up the picture. Maybe they applied a -FV today.
