The number just keeps going up! At 13:00 it looks like +.83 or +18 cents!!! :nuts:

I-fund got a boost today from M&A fever among the European banks.

Barclays is in talks with ABN Amro (Dutch) to merge. I know that HSBC is an I-fund component (+ 1.3% today), but what about Barclays and ABN?

The CNBC news had a short segment about MiFID, a Banking policy directive in the EU.
There is a huge incentive for consolidation to average down expenses and fees that will hit when implementing MiFID.

Dollar strong today based on the Fed. this afternoon. The Fed. will need to calm the jitters with the sub prime loans. Any postive comments will hurt the dollar and help the OSMs and USMs. I think they will not try to hurt the markets and Uncle Ben is mad at Greenspan for talking too much.. Went to the I for tomorrow.

Oops. Good catch. I was using yesterday's Nikkei numbers. That gets me to 0.2%.
