Rod,

Thanks for the Newbie info here today.

One question.............How do you look at the Yen properly? Meaning, when it goes up, what should that indicate? When it goes down, what should that indicate?

Looks like a minimum of -20 cents FV and a maximum of -25 cent FV.

Total should be -28 cents or -33 cents.

Gosh, I dunno what is worse- If I would've stayed in (I) and took this hit, compared to the hit I'm going to take tonight w/ C&S.

At any rate, the past is the past.

Now, let's not become too impatient if we see GREEN anytime during next week.

Could be a fakeout or a bulltrap!

You're welcome!

Thanx 350Z!:)

Wolverine,

The cheaper the yen, the more attractive Japanese companies become in the global sphere. Read my link I left in the I fund thread for more reasons why the Nikkei will rebound once it bounces off support at 15,000.

Thanks......Rod, 350z, Birchtree.

Yes Birchtree, I did go through that article the other day you refer to here. Just quickly though. I will be going through it more fully though to get a better understanding of it.

Let me see if I have a bit of this USD/Yen thingie figured out somewhat yet.

If the Yen is going North on the chart, it is indicating a good thing for the I Fund and OSM. If going South this is not a good thing for the OSM.

If the USD is going South on the chart, it is indicating a good thing for the USM. If going North it is not a good thing for the USM.

Do both the USD and Yen generally work in opposite directions for the most part? One North the other South.

Looks today though that both ended up in the North direction. Does this say anything when this happens when both go the same direction as in North or South on the Charts?

I want to get this part straight atleast first here, so I got a solid foundation of understanding going here.

Thanks for your time and efforts with all this.

Yes, this should be fun for sure and can't wait to see how Japan does react also.

Of course nothing could happen because Japan will be waiting how we react on Monday?
Oy vey !

I think Tuesday is going to be Der Tag. A question of 'leadership' is going to be important.
I'll be watching from the lillypad through heavy thick lens from a comfortable distance.

Actually I was thinking they maybe watching what we do Monday as opposed to what happened Friday. But then again that didn't occur to me either about them reacting to Friday. Everyone has had a weekend to take stock and cool off. My gut feeling is there will be a modest rally in "C" on Monday but I think the Nekkei will be down.
But I have been wrong before.
Not all dead cats bounce-I have the scars last week to prove it.
