Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

You know, with China positive, do you all think the OSM will ignore Japan???

Yes, but if the Yen rises again like it did early this morning, we will all be in big trouble.

I will look to see where the Shanghai closes tonight. If it closes above yesterdays' open, then I might consider staying in. If it closes below, then I will bail.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

It looks like it will close above.

Seems like US futures are ignoring Japan.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

$ flattened out...

I heard or read somewhere today that after the recent sharp fall of the USD/YEN, some hedge fund companies might be in trouble or getting close to it. That's a scary thought. Imagine what might happen if we get more bad economic news in the US or very good economic news in Japan.

It was UP by .30 just an hour or so ago.

Futures have slipped a lilttle, but still green.

Who knows what it will look like when we wake up...

Any day we wake up is a good day................:)

new day

It seems like yesterday on a lighter note. We need the US markets to lead today. Although the futures are down, it is still early. I think we will be surprised today to the upside. Yen should help today.

:) Any early estimates? tia Where is everyone today?? Watch the 10:00 am for a possible lift-off.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

see 10:00 push, Mutual Funds are buying 21 trading left for the window dressing Looking for green.. These players waited for a red open to enter.....the pros. They allow the panic to set in and then they buy.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

Its still very early but Im showing -.644% loss or 14 cents.

My fudge factored estimate is:

-.13

My FF formula for NON +/- FV days, just a regular day: spreadsheet result x .25, minus that from spreadsheet result

On an UP day: spreadsheet result x .25, add that to the spreadsheet result

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

$ is UP by .06

For you newbies lurking, when the $ is up, that is normally not good for the (I) fund but positive for USM (US Markets) if it's steadily up.

You can watch it here:

http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=DX-Y.NYB

It's still rather shaky

I think what I am seeing is that we still have a ways to go on the downside. There is still the momentum on the downside.

Much of that money will not return until they see some solid foundation below.

My take- still another five percent on the downside, world wide, over the next couple days, until things caml down.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

The DOW VIX is UP 3.87%.

For you lurkers, this shows the market's expectation of 30-day volatility.

You want to see this number in the RED, because that would mean less volatility.

VIX values greater than 30 are generally associated with a large amount of volatility as a result of investor fear or uncertainty, while values below 20 generally correspond to less stressful, even complacent, times in the markets.

Watch the DOW VIX here:
