Re: Nikkei's loss was not as bad,Europe is doing great

US futures are up. I Fund can dance today. I thought the Asian markets would do well overnight,as I mentioned yesterday. This leads me to think of holding I into Friday for that Asian rally, which is way overdue. Lets see first what today brings. I Fund should do well.:)

08:00 am : S&P futures vs fair value: -12.8. Nasdaq futures vs fair value: -19.0.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

I don't understand. We would appreciate other ideas. It could be that yesterday was really a dead cat's bounce. I don't know, but unless things improve significantly, I would not change my transfer to G effective COB today. Stay on your toes!

What was with the Europe market nose dive?

wow!!! the yen is exploding

the markets better recover here. The US markets will open way down, but the push up could be fast!! Lets see

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

With the econ. numbers that came out this morning, U.S. futures keep falling. I am hearing on Bloomberg TV, that there is great liquidity in the markets. Speculation on my part is that we might get his early-on to the downside, thus creating a buying opportunity for mutual funds, and institutions. It is my understanding that the 1st day of each month usually is a buying opportunity for the "Big Guys". Provided all of this is true, we could stabilize during the trading day. I already placed my IFT today to go 100% G at COB. If inflows of new money were to come into the market today, this buffer the downside and would lessen my losses. I will appreciate other views.

sponser I also agree. days like these could easily

turn the DJIA green. It would open deep red and run up. We have the Yen savings/buffering our losses. At any rate, MMs and Mutual Funds should step to the plate today. You have only one month left before the quarter is up. So, you know Mutual Funds want to end green, 22 trading days.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

Let's wait and see how the USM reacts to the ecomonic news which should be out by 1000.

Man, anything can change... and quickly!

Stay on your toes.

Today may turn out to be a FV play. Tank this morning and rebound after lunch.

wishful thinking for tomorrow, but you have the rebound early on

postive thinking. It seems everyone is bailing to the G Fund.

May be, but if the USM tank OSM will continue w/ the downtrend.

BUT, then again they could surprise us like they did today!:D

At any rate, I'm willing to admit to my mistake and duck for cover.

Rob,

I'm 100% I today and 100% G tomorrow. I'm looking for a +FV today to help cushion the pain I see coming today. Tonight the OSM can do whatever they want. I'll be out.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

I found myself in this position last May.

But the difference was that I bought in near the top and got caught up in the slide. I kept telling myself daily "This one HAS to be the bottom!"

That bottom never came until June.

Like I said in my other thread, it's VERY difficult to call the bottom!

I guess the smart thing to do is to wait for at least 2 consecutive green days after a sell-off.

Perhaps, we all pulled that trigger a bit too soon.

I do not want to repeat my summer mistake, and will likely go to (G) no matter what happens and allow the overall markets to digest all of this.
