I see our current leader Post is currently 100% I - are you worried about this week, Post?

I wonder if this is the reason there wasnt a FV applied to Friday? Has anyone noticed this before? Specifically that if an OSM holiday follows right after a day requiring an FV, the FV is not issued. Then again the rule may be only for Monday OSM holidays following FV Fridays...

That may help inform a very few trades a year if its true.

Very good question. I don't think we'll ever know for sure, but I think it's a very good theory.

Yeah, perhaps we better sit tight.

I've got to scidaddle outa here for the day.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

How is the price calculated when one of the markets is closed? Do they just rescale the remainder to 100%?

Has anyone figured this out yet?

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

So how is Japan's next trading day going to effect the I-fund tomorrow? I hate to sell a loss, but if there's going to be some profit taking there, than I might want to step out and then back in again sometime after tomrrow.

Japan is about 25% of the I-fund, on that section of the spreadsheet that amount would be 0% change.

That would depend on how the USM finishes this afternoon. Right now, the bias is to the downside. But, if the USM finds a bottom and finihes strongly above it, then Japan might continue up. The key was the mild tone of the G7 concerning the Yen, but as I've said earlier, the bias is towards profit taking tonight. Just my opinion.:)

If Barclays was "asleep on the job" and failed to apply a -FV Friday that should have been applied, will they just "let it go" or apply it today? Whatever happens, by 7:30 this evening we should have further insight into how things work.

I'm sorry, I meant that as a joke. IMHO, they should have applied a -FV on Friday. Why they didn't, I have no idea. As Wheels has said, Barclays will stray from protocal now and then because we are not suppose to be know how it works or be able to predict it.

I don't expect them to apply a FV today based on Friday's market, but today's market is a different story.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

The reason for using the FV is to keep people from being able to gain an unfair advantage in timing the market. So since it has come and gone there is no reason to apply one based on Fridays action. This opinion is based solely on Friday.

It is plausable that could apply an FV due to Japan's market being closed. I don't think they know enough about what direction that exchange is headed to make an intelligent decision, but that has never stopped them from guessing before.
