Japanese financial markets will be closed Monday, Feb. 12, for a national holiday
I wonder if this is the reason there wasnt a FV applied to Friday? Has anyone noticed this before? Specifically that if an OSM holiday follows right after a day requiring an FV, the FV is not issued. Then again the rule may be only for Monday OSM holidays following FV Fridays...
That may help inform a very few trades a year if its true.
I see our current leader Post is currently 100% I - are you worried about this week, Post?
GA
"I" looking pretty red this morning.
Japan closed, but everything else is red.
Aren't we still looking at a -FV from Friday???
How is the price calculated when one of the markets is closed? Do they just rescale the remainder to 100%?
Has anyone figured this out yet?
So how is Japan's next trading day going to effect the I-fund tomorrow? I hate to sell a loss, but if there's going to be some profit taking there, than I might want to step out and then back in again sometime after tomrrow.
If Barclays was "asleep on the job" and failed to apply a -FV Friday that should have been applied, will they just "let it go" or apply it today? Whatever happens, by 7:30 this evening we should have further insight into how things work.
I don't expect them to apply a FV today based on Friday's market, but today's market is a different story.
