Looks like a possible -FV day.

If they use the EFA, it will be -19 cents FV.

If they use the Dow, it will be -15 cents FV.

I'll be happy with either one because we're going to need some help.:worried:

The Fed handing out liquidity to the market is like a doctor prescribing Prozac. I hope no fv. Going to the f.
There is a limit how often they will do that, the next step will be a cut. They know they have to or the bottom will fall out. Many borrowers with excellent credit are being denied money for mortgages. The Fed has to start to cut or they will be doomed. The pressure is on them or they will have more of these on the line....UPDATE 1-Aegis Mortgage files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy...http://www.reuters.com/article/bankingfinancial-SP/idUSN1337247520070813

Oh! Crap! CFC is the big one. I hope they can keep their mouth shut tomorrow.:worried:
don't worry, the futures are not down heavily. If there was a big problem, you would noticed it like last time!! Aug 13 5:17pm †Change%ChangeLevel

I guess we'll just have to wait and see...I have a hunch we won't see a cut any time soon, but if things get really bad, I suppose anything's possible.

Ain't nobody jumping off of buildings yet, just a lot of talk.

I should add that the Fed is way slow to act. This will be not different.

That's criminal!

The only thing I can think of is that perhaps there were too many people jumping into the I fund.

I agree. In any other circumstance they should have assessed the I-fund a -FV, but they probably considered the market moving economic numbers due tomorrow (PPI/core PPI).

Ebb mentioned the possibility of the I-fund pulling this one out with the PPI/core PPI numbers coming out at 8:30 AM ET today. Any other ideas or views?

FTSE up by midday, helped by mild inflation, miners

By Ana Nicolaci da Costa

LONDON, Aug 14 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 (.FTSE: Quote, Profile, Research) index rose slightly by midday as lower-than-expected British consumer price inflation eased fears of a UK rate hike in September, distracting investors from the impact of credit market turmoil on banks.

At 1121 GMT, the FTSE 100 (.FTSE: Quote, Profile, Research) was up 0.1 percent at 6,224.7 points having fallen as much as 0.7 percent in early trade, with Anglo American (AAL.L: Quote, Profile, Research) the top gainer after HSBC upgraded the stock to "overweight" from "neutral".

Britain's inflation tumbled below the Bank of England's 2 percent target in July for the first time in more than a year, sparking speculation that interest rates could have peaked.
