Everybody is talking about the Dollar carry trade these days. Even Glenn Beck.



You don't hear about the Yen carry trade anymore. But the rise in the Yen, which started last night, was the reason for Japan's sell off last night and is contributing to this sell off we see today.

... hey 350... I see that's "think or swim charts" I just loaded that on my home pc and laptop. Pretty good tool, but i'm still getting used to it... chart options/layout isn't as intuitive as I'd like but definitely robust. Haven't used it during the trading days. Have you used it for forex?

Have you given any thought to using freestockcharts.com? I have not obtained a good handle on this, so I continue to use stockcharts.com. The latter is a pay site but has given me a very good service. However, freestockcharts has many more indicators you can use. I have no financial interest in any of this. You might try it.

Best for Forex or you mean better for the trading day for stock versus the command center 2.0? Have you listened to the live audio from the pits? I bet that's entertaining.

The live feed is interesting but I don't use it. Too much information for me.

That's what I thought about the whole tool in a way. Man, so much stuff it introduces A LOT of noise. I like it simple with a few golden nuggets of data.

Thanks to the cavalry. Big turn around in the Yen. The dollar pairs are also showing the same spikes. But in an hour or two, these pairs will be overbought. So, I wonder if we will see more selling pressure late afternoon in the market instead of the usual 3:00pm(after the bond market close) short squeeze?

Bond market just closed as bond yields rose from this morning, leaving the F fund with a minimal gain. Let see if I was right about the selling pressure picking up in the afternoon.

The Nikkei is oversold. They didn't really participate in this month's rally. I guess they didn't get the memo that the recession is over. They're only down 50 points tonight, as the weak Yen is supportive for the moment. I hope December comes soon so I get in the I fund before the Nikkei shoots up.

Yup, my fake forex practice account is a dead man walking... I was on the wrong side of that one ... one more bad move by me and it's margin call time (I gotta start using more intelligent stops and not letting it ride, eh?)...

and my tsp account managements skills are brilliant too... i jumped in for what i thought would be a little "scalp" (if you can call it that) and, turns out, I was the scalpee.... yikes...

btw 350... why, in the name of all that's holy, would you go and throw that avatar out there? ... wait.... i guess GS is now considered holy... so... carry on.
