Noticed you jumped in the S fund. I feel better now. Good Luck

Thanks,

Very low volume today. Picked the S fund because it was down the most. I Figured the PPT might want to juice the markets on the last days of Christmas shopping. Looking to get out Wednesday. Friday might be a good day, but with TSP being closed on Friday, I don't want to be around for the following Monday.

Good luck to you too.

I think TSP will be closed on Friday. Anybody got the official word?

Thanks.

Btw, on the ES, the 813 trend line from 12/1 held again for the 6th-7th time. This suggests the uptrend is still intact, but the volume a couple of these have been low. This mornings bounce of the trend line was practically on no volume.

The Thrift Savings Plan will be closed on Thursday, December 25th, in observance of Christmas Day. Transactions that would have been processed Thursday night (December 25th) will be processed Friday night (December 26th), at Friday's closing share prices.

I saw that, but since Fridays was just declared a holiday, Don't you think TSP will be closed? They were very slow at updating the website when Gerald Ford died.

2008 End-of-Year Transaction Processing
December 15 —
The deadline for the TSP to receive a request for an annual
change in monthly payments is December 15. This deadline applies only to
participants who are in monthly payment status.

December 25 —
The stock and bond markets will be closed on Thursday,
December 25, because of the Christmas holiday. Because December 25 is a
Federal holiday, the Thrift Savings Plan will also be closed. Transactions
that would have been processed Thursday night (December 25) will be
processed Friday night (December 26), at Friday’s closing share prices.

December 26 —
TSP monthly payments that are normally scheduled to be
disbursed December 29, 2008, through December 31, 2008, will be
processed on December 26, along with the December 26 payments that are
regularly scheduled for that date. In addition, supplemental required
minimum distribution payments will be made on December 26. For income
tax purposes, these payments will be reported to the Internal Revenue
Service as income for 2008.

December 29 —
Withdrawals made on December 29 will be reported to the
Internal Revenue Service as income for 2008.

December 30 and 31 —
Withdrawals made on December 30 and 31 will be
reported to the Internal Revenue Service as income for 2009.

January 1 —
The stock and bond markets will be closed on Thursday,
January 1, 2009, because of the New Year’s holiday. Because January 1 is a
Federal holiday, the TSP will also be closed. Transactions that would have
been processed Thursday night (January 1) will be processed Friday night
(January 2), at Friday’s closing share prices.

January 2 —
Because January 4, 2009, falls on a Sunday, monthly
payments scheduled to be disbursed on that day will be disbursed on Friday,
January 2, 2009.

The TSP
will be closed on both December 25, 2008, and January 1, 2009.

We wish all of you a safe and happy holiday season.

Yep, I was wanting to stay in for Friday but was scared of Monday. I had the same thoughts that the TSP would be closed. Oh well, live and learn.

Have a Merry Christmas.

Me: Dialed 911, "Police, I just got robbed by Barclay while in the I fund. They kept 5 cents of my money."

Police: "You were in the I fund? You're an idiot!"

Me: "Thank you officer. Merry Christmas to you."

100% I fund.

Dollar hitting the top of the Bollinger.

Looking for an Obama relief rally for a day or two. The market is not oversold.

Welcome back... you do realize that you just personally guaranteed a bad fv calculation for the "I"-funders.

Ladies and gentlemen, the show is about to begin.

Get ready for the FIREWORKS

The market is not oversold.

NO DOUBT - and anyone thinkn' it is oversold will be majorly disappointed.

So where have you been pansy ass - and next time let us know how long you'll be gone.

I'd been wondering.....:(

Yup, and since I'm getting in, it would mean a rally at the end of the day and a +FV for I funders. Folks can thank me later by sending me $5 each. I take Paypal.:D

And no, I did not get any golf equipment for Xmas. The only time I get a present is when I spoil myself, which happens once in a while.:)

I've been spending time with the kids, playing computer games. I love playing multi-player lan games with my kids. I'm currently hooked on Sid Meier's Civilization IV.

I'm about to start building a home theater in the basement, maybe next month.

Ahhh...the dreaded LAN stand-off at the house...Hope the kids are kickin your butt!

Sorry to hear that you didn't get that solid gold putter for Christmas. Thought Santa would surprise you!

Welcome back!:D
