14 million workers face losing unemployment benefits at the end December

Millions of workers will lose their unemployment benefits at the end of December unless Congress passes legislation.

The local grocery stores have signs all over asking for help.

Amazon has sent us now two postcards asking us to apply for a job.

Problem is everyone would rather not work there so they can be eligible for maximum free if it comes around again.

A bunch of restaurants in my locale are "temporarily closing". You can kiss gyms good bye too. The "dropped out of the labor force" term might need a new definition.

Sad part is, winter is just starting. There is zero light for these businesses until, I don't know, May/June?

November’s employment report was mostly disappointing. Payrolls rose only 245,000. The unemployment rate edged down to 6.7%, but that was because 400,000 people dropped out of the labor force.
