12%ayear's Account Talk

I have 19 years in. 15- 22 years left at 12% I will have about 2-3 million. I would love to donate a majority of it to animal shelters. The key to be healthy and enjoy simple things. I do not need much. Money is a evil tool we need to live. I know many people who are very cheap and they are in the 60s at work. One guy would clip coupons and was 72 at the PO. He had no kids and no wife. SAD

--- that's it... you heard it here first, I'm calling it right now before this gets out of hand.... the Green Bubble.... the next bubble to hit our economy will be in eco-friendly pursuits...

--- what can I say? I'm a visionary :D:D (don't take me seriously)

--- by the way, anybody think Ben will say that the FED is ready to do what it takes tomorrow?

csco may be worth a AH play here at -10%... that's a little too much for a good number and if chambers pumps global growth again... $30.90 looks cheap.
fedgolfer ...see what I mean....the bid and ask.29.76/29.77......CSCO32.7501

Holy smokes.....Futures are ugly....NASDAQ-24.25 or 1.11% and SP-12.40 or 0.84% capitualtion might occur tomorrow, if any one confesses like Morgan Stanley it will be another huge sell-off

12% spouse and I both have 20 years in. We intend to retire as soon as we can without taking too much of a SS hit. We live simply, but not so healthily. I am also an animal lover and do as much volunteer work as my schedule allows, and plan to do more in retirement. Animals enrich our lives whether we know it or not. Those of us fortunate enough to have them as companions know we're better humans for having that association.:)
Amen to that. :)

Holy smokes.....Futures are ugly....NASDAQ-27.00 or-1.24% and SP-15.20 or-1.03% capitulation might occur tomorrow, if any one confesses like Morgan Stanley it will be another huge sell-off

In tonight's "Fast Money" it was suggested that we may see a 300 to 500 point sell-off in the market tomorrow!:mad::mad:

FWIW.....I am bailing to the G Fund. Going back to my defense mode. Time to wait. I still believe we will recovery from here and push green. Call me crazy. :D
I post above this morning. I am crazy and was dead wrong today. Bailed to the G Fund for Thursday.

12%,
I thought you wanted out - so went to G for Thurs. Last 2 posts, now you seem to be wishing you stayed in?? NOW I'm confused! I'm still ALL IN! - sweating this out BIG-TIME! (60%S, 30%S...) Should I be worried?? Should I stay tomorrow? Anything Ben can do/say?? More confused, panicked now - is this capitulation? (I'm more paninicked now like most folks I assume (which in itself doesn't bode well!). Please help me out:embarrest::confused:
Anything positive, as cause for hope for a reversal?? When? Friday??

The Dow will correct back to 12,800 IMO near term. Once it broke 1490 today on the S&P it is almost a sure thing.

Best advice is to stay aside until so, then start $costavg. backin SLOWLY as this could be merely a correction (lets hope) or a sign of further damage to come. I can see all the justifications for a 20% pullback off the 14,2 highs, which would put the DOW around 11,500.

DOW 12,800 IS NEXT IMO. Stay out until then and avg. in when it hits. That is the next inflection point.

Thanks for the advice. I read the same thing on another blog. 13,400 was the support, once that's gone, 12,800 is the next one. Scary...

Hessian, I don't presume to speak for 12%, but I interpret his comment to mean he was dead wrong about a recovery for today. He did the smart thing and got out, and he's glad he did...hopes those who ride it out dont' lose money. He's safely tucked in G and set to move tomorrow for a rally on Friday..if it comes.

Hey anidoc,
Ok, I see, I think your'e right (about where he was saying was wrong) my mistake!
OK so now, likely phillyfed's advice sounds reasonable: I'd agree, be watchful of events this morning, and depending, maybe begin backing out slowly -as events dictate(as others advise, not necessarily today, but possible (but watch, as this could be merely a correction). There could be a bounce, or even slight possiblility for a reversal day (less likely but still a possibility). Apologize for the panic attack. I forgot for a moment - we all must be a little crazy - or we wouldn't be here!:D
Best luck everyone!

no, I went to the G Fund and not regretting it. It seems the futures improved and Ben is speaking later. I plan to enter the S Fund for Friday if all pans out. I never regret my moves because it was how I felt at that moment. GL and stop panicing...:)
