I very seldom trade, but did two this month so far because of the market conditions. Anyway, on August 3, I did an IFT to mostly G and some F. August 5, I changed the F portion back to the C fund at five minutes before the deadline. I thought about it for a few seconds, and cancelled it. The TSP did the IFT and shows no record of my cancellation. I called TSP, and the person on the other end of the phone told me I must have cancelled it after the deadline. I am certain it was before. She told me to appeal it in writing so today I did. I have two questions. What are my chances of getting it reversed? By the way, I called TSP before the markets ever opened to bring it to their attention. My second question is, since I transferred 100% to G fund today, and since I have already done two IFTs, assuming they deny my request, am I stuck in the G fund for the rest of August? Any comments or insight would be greatly appreciated. Oh yes, I am retired and am getting equal monthly payments.
