Trump fires Federal Reserve Board Member

This should get interesting. The market just shrugged it off.

    OPM Online Retirement Portal

I also took DRP and am set to retire on 9/30/. I completed my Retire.OPM application 27 days ago and it says mine is still under HR Review (unassigned on their system). It took a few days to go to "HR Review". I also sent my agency assigned retirement specialist an email around that time and...

Retirement- keeping busy? Or making an impact?

Newly retired, DRP 1. Still finding my footing. Once and sometimes two days a week I volunteer with a group that builds wheelchair ramps for handicapped or elderly folks. With the same group I volunteer for disaster clean up after storms, tornados & flooding. I play golf one day a week and the...

Anyone else admitting to taking the fork in the road offer? Today is my last day due to planned leave the next 2 days. Got my signed contract printed out and framed.

    USA Spending .Gov

Locally we have very little discretionary funds, which is nice. We had a local monthly business newspaper that we used at work, but it was an act of congress to get the$50 annually to pay for it. We finally gave up a few years back due to the pushback we received on it. It looks like some areas...

Buyouts to nearly all federal workers?

This is right in my sweet spot, so I am looking at it pretty closely. Was planning on retiring 12/31/25. If I take it, I will retire the pay period ending right before 9/30/25. May work part time at Lowes or some golf course. Then again, I may not.

If you liked it there, you should like it here better! I am fully invested in my taxable account, or I would be tempted today.

Anyone paying attention to these ETFs that are tied into technology and AI. Not too concentrated in one or two stocks. I own both now, but will trade if sentiment turns south.

    DreamboatAnnie's Account Talk

I would echo Fidelity as a good place to roll your TSP over. I manage my non-TSP personal account in Fidelity and my wife's and parent's accounts in Vanguard, which is a good choice too, but I like Fidelity much better. I am still working so I still have TSP too. Fidelity seems easier to use...

    DreamboatAnnie's Account Talk

Dream, thanks for sharing your charts. Your page is the first I visit when I come here. We've not seen this size of Fed unwinding(previous was $60B), so any answer given would be a guess. At $95B a month it would take 3 years to unwind only 1/3 of the total $9T. Also I believe the Fed is...
