Re: ift

I am a nibbler. Anywhere between .50% to 1% every month and I'm happy.
With that said I will look for a reentry if it presents itself. Not ruling out a quick reentry but most likely looking towards the EOM.

Got it...I'm looking to get back in real soon...but system can change its mind.

Re: ift

Yesterday was, marketwise, an ugly day. Unless of course you are a perpetual buyer and take all days as an opportunity.
Will we see some more selling today? Futures are DOWN early.

The good news is, areas around the US who have been swamped with rain recently will see a relatively quiet day today. Unfortunately this includes California.

Re: ift

No move today. Gave it serious thought but since I've made my +1/2% for the month, not gonna gamble. Close today and tomorrow will tell if that was wise or not.

Whether or not a decision is wise, is not dependant upon (future) factors unknown at the time, to the decider.
Whether you played the hand well is not dependant upon whether the next (future, unknown) card is to your benefit.

Decisions must be judged by all available facts at the time the decision is made.

This concept escapes many traders and poker players alike.

Re: ift

Thanks, I think :D

You're welcome. And yes, my comment was positive towards you. Regardless of tomorrow, it is possible that you made the best possible decision today.

You can make the wisest decisions, but they can be overcome by bad luck, and vice-versa.

That is one ugly market open. I taste coffee in my nostrils.

I need to go find something to buy to feel better.

Re: ift

Market trying to turn ugly.
How long has Greece been in the news now? Someone write a check already.

Re: ift

The G fund stinks but there is just no defined direction for me right now. At least it's dry.

Yeah, agreed...besides the equity funds sitting close to their lower Bollinger Bands and in a short-term oversold condition, I don't have a good sense of where the markets are going. Many moving pieces internationally that change direction quickly. Seems like a good spot for a hit and run on the I Fund, but I'm not committed to that yet...

Re: ift

Like watching a turtle cross a busy road. Slow progress and prayers for a little courtesy.
I decided to pull the trigger on the I Fund today, due for a bounce at these levels....and I might not stay there for long, see what happens this week.
