WorkFE's Account Talk

I don't know or who cares who runs this MB but be very wary of who you think has the best advice. There are players on here who have multiple personalities.
Do what you think is right. There are some very new faces that seem very familiar.
Have a great WE everybody:)

Dup ID's is a no no here. If you are suspicious of someone, please PM me. I will check it out and keep it confidential. Thanks

It surely has gotten quiet with most of the gloom and doomers camping out for the summer on the lily pad - watch the tokyo drift as they slide in the next few weeks. Monday could be an absolute barn burner of an up day - the consensus was for Friday to be down 200 but that didn't happen. Now with the Dow Theory giving a buy signal all hell is about to break loose on the way to SPX 1300. Carl has made some nice comments about the bull being in charge. If no one posts the article - I'll do it.

TSPTALK,
I doubt they are Dup's. Probably just all the silence of the doom and gloomers makes me feel that way. I was just recommending that uninformed investors should not make snap decisions, be wary and educate yourself.

M72,
You keep some late hours, thanks for stopping by. Working on that hat I see.

BT,
I don't know about the consensus but I called friday a flat day when we were down big time. I do believe we'll continue this uptrend (provided NK does not actually fire a nuclear missle) . There will be days mixed in that will look like a possible retrace but in the end I believe those will mostly be headfakes.

The market trudges on. Flat friday, flat monday. This is probably going to become the norm here for a while as the bulls and bears duke it out. If we were to enter a flatline period of say all of august I believe it could actually be a good thing. Remove some of the volatility of huge ups and downs might entice some money back into the market. I know the VIX is already sitting in a nice spot even though it ended up some today but I only give it so much weight. But I DO NOT ignore it.

This should be a very interesting week to close out July. Good luck everyone.

GDP baby.....GDP!!!!!

So is today the day people find a better entry point or is it dead red until noon then a flat finish to the green side.
I guess we'll know at 4PM
Good Luck today everybody

Expecting some gains today ahead of tomorrows data. I new this week would be interesting and next week hinges on tomorrow, IMO.
The VIX continues to inch upward, I believe investors are very keen to the fragility of this uptrend so be wary.

When you sell a product for 2 times its true value because of an emotional buying scare what did you think the outcome would be when they came back to Earth. 4 Billion dollar Quarter. Quit crying.

GL today

It could be that the VIX is giving the bears a head fake. The longer it takes to break 20 the better I like it.

Good point on the VIX. I do not expect us to close this strong, but who knows, there is some pent up frustration from Mon-Wed.
I was expecting today and tomorrow to be .10 to .25 up days to continue to confound investors. The more the merrier only works for parties.

If people begin to :worried: then the buying could happen quickly for fear of being left behind but I will keep an eye on the VIX.

WMT broke 50 for the first time in 2 months:cheesy:

Ok, The betting window is closed. Very little IFT movement. Half of the MB is 50% or > in the G Fund. The other half is 50% or greater in FCSI. What a split.
If todays market holds somewhat we should have about 85% of the tracker folks in positive territory.

This is some kind of place folks. Those are very nice results for an informational highway that cost ($ wise) absolutely nothing and I want to thank everyone who participates.

Thanks, you all are awesome.

GDP report at 8:30 will make or break the week we've had and will probably set the stage for next week.
Any GDP contraction less than 1.5% will probably be viewed as positive, that and Asian and European markets set up nicely last night so we could see continued movement to the upside.

Older story but depending on how things go this mourning I may slip 10% back to G to maximize buying power if we slide next week.

I'm no historian but I like the way they think.

Love or Hate them. How many companies, by themselves, could reach out and touch 140 million people in 1 week. I am not a hater nor am I a huge shopper of WALMART but when it comes to disasters no one moves relief supplies to the affected area like those folks. Yes, I do own stock:D

The government set aside 1 billion dollars for cars for clunkers and they are out of money. They sold 17 cars and 16 were foriegn made.
Only kidding but it would not surprise me.
