WorkFE's Account Talk

Last lap of the first Gatorade Duel she got tangle up with someone else, slid into the infield wall. One hard @$$ hit.

You know, it sure seemed like a lot of "moving to the sideline chatter" over the past few days than what the tracker indicates. I have no more people in front of me with significant G fund allocations than I had Tuesday.
I do know the S Funders are starting to reform.

Same here. I gained more than a percent, but only 10-15 places on the tracker. Fine by me though.

I looked at the Ocean's list - TSP Talk AutoTracker - 64% in G & F, 36% in stocks. Same as Coolhand's Sunday report. If we're at all representative of the broad market, that's a lot of money still on the sidelines, waiting to buy a dip, is it not?

The S fund seems to be the place right now. But the I fund is catching up for MTD totals. As of yesterday the S fund is up $1.16 and the I fund is up $0.93. Futures look pretty good for now. I made back all but $1.00 yesterday from the 3 days of losses in the S fund. Believe me it is all luck. Sure would be nice to close out the month on a good note in all funds and have a strong March.

Sensei,
If that is an indicator of the broader market that would be epic if the wall of worry overwhelmed them and they began buying. That would be the point where I would begin to watch very closely. We have not had a big day in either direction in quite a while. That's actually what I'm focused on. Trend direction is generally not changed by .5% days.
NASA,
I believe I've read some where that historically the end of Feb. beginning of March is up. I may have misread plus that can always change.

Well futures are up a bit and the dollar is down. Maybe Birchtree will get the holdback on the I fund leftover from yesterday plus some extra for his troubles. Gotta go talk with some folks about disaster preparedness.

RMI. Check my allocation and watch to see if there is an IFT. Not to say I won't but I've been fairly adamant about the trend. I'll be ready when the trend is ready.

It is possible the the lilly garden folks will get their play this week as the market muddles around until the jobs report is posted. BTW, for some unknown reason, does not come out until next Friday (9th).
So we could have 9 more days of wading around in Bull manure/Bear scat. OBTW, be careful of unforseen news.
Futures were up but the market is in float mode. Until the big money makes a move or the bond money makes a move in unison (Not Likely) we are where we are.

If the S fund would not have anchored me today I might have closed in on 10%. I can see it I just can't touch it.
I won't look a gift horse in the mouth however. I'll take my bisquits and eat quietly.
Above 13K, a first in a while. Tomorrow should be interesting.

Futures up slightly with the dollar down a bit. Can we hold above 13K?
IMHO we need to. If not that could signal the consolidation that the lilly padders have been waiting on.

I hope I am wrong, but I think today may be a loser. Based on the Vix, a 1% move, either way, is possible.

Jken, I don't see it. The VIX is right where we want it. Not alot of panic or over confidence.
As long as the buying and selling remains at its current levels that should not change.

S Fund

What index does the S fund follow. I am a newbie to all of this, trying to learn and I notice that the market has gone up slightly and yet the S fund has gone slightly down. Your help is appreciated.

thank you,

boricua
