WorkFE's Account Talk

Well its frantic friday folks. Futures look like crap, oil still flowing into the gulf, Euro breaks below 121, Hungarian economy on the brink of collapse, Gas prices rising.
Whats not to love about it.

Just don't lose your income.

Drumming up new business is getting harder but there are +'s to owning your own company.

I know what you are saying WorkFE,

I am in the middle of drumming up Business myself. People are very cheap right now. But with the services I offer as a handyman some things cannot go ignored.

Off I go, I'll be back later....

Well I dont love that I am 100% S and its down over 4%...for starters!!
ARRRgghhh!

OTOH - its Fish fry nite at Cracker Barrel :D so I will just pig out and then get drunk and forget about my TSP. Until Monday - what then another 5% ralley day? Looks like its best to buy and hold right now at least until we break the upper resistance...whenever that is.

With the value loss being undertaken over the past month this will be a huge hole to fill and it just keeps getting deeper. I keep reminding myself that although a continued downward spiral reduces the value of my TSP account, it does allow me to accumulate more shares at lower values and I still have my wifes 401K in retirement preservation. If or when we turn she will make out big time.

I chose three funds for my daughter's Roth 401K today - what a great time to throw money down the well. The choices are: Eaton Vance Large Cap Value, 500 Index fund and Capital World Growth and Income - 30/50/20. No small cap. She'll be doing DCA every two weeks - her objective is not to make money but to acquire as many shares as her hard working money will allow - it'll take years to form her base. From her perspective if we slide into another bear market - so what. Accumulate those shares.

Just because I read a trolls writing does not mean I appreciate it. I am the quintessential optimist.
Yall have a great weekend

Little bump today but nothing to get to excited about. Investors are still nervous with good reason. Expect any gains from today to wisked away tomorrow plus some interest.

I don't have any interest today that gains tomorrow will be wisked away.:D

Futures slightly green this morning. Today may provide a little relief to those who have not bailed yet but plan to. But like I said yesterday, I fully expect the market to reclaim yesterdays gains with some penalty thrown in for good measure. Overseas was mixed, nothing to get excited about.

Bears-Bulls who the heck knows. 1/2 will be on the wrong side of this when we figure it out. Another 10% thrown in on top might be enough to push some of the most defensive off their positions.

GL today everybody.

Sure would like to see a 1-2% gain over the next day or two so I could be on the positive side of zero in my real account before I jump out of the water. I expect Friday to be a real downer.

Fridays have not been Kind lately for sure. But the market does not care what day of week it is when the masses all move in one direction. Be careful out there.

Yummy...

Your focus on the 'I Fund' might be considered a contrarian trade. :p

Even with the awesome gain last year. :p

Using the "What goes down must go up theory". In hindsight in was a moronic allocation. Dumb:laugh:
