All of the fear & greed indicators are flashing fear or extreme fear, other than Market Volatility which is neutral. The VIX is not spiking like it did in August, but it has trended upward minus the downward action on Friday.
Might be a good time to buy.

Or get out..... That was my problem in 2022. I hung in there thinking tomorrow will start the rally and I'll recover. Yeah, right. For some reason this just feels different. Good luck everyone.

Uh Oh, futures just took a dump.
Maybe just big money taking a breather after a pretty good 2024.

I remain in a defendive mode the last few days after the big run up. Confidence is low for any double digit gain for 2025.

Barring a disaster in the next 2 days, the Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq should all finish with gains >15%. Could be hit or miss on the DOW if today’s trend plays out over the next 48 hours. For those that played aggressive in 2024, the next 2 days won't matter, they are great returns regardless.

As Epic pointed out, the G Fund rose .375% to 4.625.
This certainly allows us to tread lightly into the New Year.
I will keep my 5% position in the I Fund (could be awhile before I retreat) and the rest in the G Fund.

Plz send some of that Winter WX (if it is fluffy-white) up here to the Pacific-NW Puget-Sound... Snow in mountains but we've not even had a hard freeze yet at the lower elevations. I like to sled, plus kill the pesty bugs before next spring/summer.

Wish I could send you some of this north coast weather. Had to shovel another 1.5" today. I would be more than happy to send along the mid-teens windchill temps.

We may get another 2" Friday evening. This is probably the most snow we've had in 10+ years.
I will enjoy it until about mid-February, then I'm over it.

BRRRRR. The cold winds that can come with the snows in mid-west, like NASA mentions, I'm happy to be without. We in W. Washington State have lots of huge (100-ft and taller) fir trees and other types; when we do get big winds, a bunch of large branches and numbers of those trees fall down; but freezy-cold temps & much snow we don't have except in our many high mountains.
