Birch, you usually talk about the market, and this is a board on investing for our retirement. So don't assume, even if we don't agree with your investment optimism all the time, that we would not miss you.

As for you commenting off the subject of finance here...this is the Lounge, and you clearly stated what you are typing here is your opnion.

Uh...hello, on the picture of Michael in the abaya. What I heard was he was unsuccessfully trying to hide from the Press and fans...and from the sun. He had skin problems and Bahrain's sun is pretty merciless. Which makes more sense than the Muslim angle.

If he wanted to change religions he wouldn't hide his face and would wear traditional MALE garb. Not try to hide under a huge robe and veil for women.He was trying to blend in and disappear. Not sucessfully, of course. If he was a convert he wouldn't be allowed to hide under the equivalent of high-necked bulky dress for proper women, it would be considered rude, if not lewd, behavior. But since he was a guest, not a convert, they would try to protect him, and an abaya hides just about everything.

Don't mistake snarky from the Telegraph as a new revelation, that headline was typical British humor.

I don't know about that. People have been coming and going for 5 years. Something, somewhere will annoy someone at one time or another, happens all the time.

If someone is going to visit "The Lounge", the adult ratings go up, the posts get a little more edgy, and some people like it and some people don't. Nothing we can do except filter some of the stuff that goes too far, but we don't catch everything.

We want everyone to enjoy themselves here be we'll probably never be able to please everyone all of the time.

To sum it up: We can please some of the people, all of the time, all of the people some of the time, but we'll never please all of the people, all of the time. :)

I really can't say I will "miss" any of them per se, because I do not consider myself a "fan". But as a human, my sympathies and prayers go out to their families, friends, and fans who are mourning their deaths.

My point is that I had not heard about it before. I keep up with the news. The mainstream media must have overlooked it. Just like yesterday when the brother was reading the press statement and he mentioned "Allah", the news anchor repeated it back as "God".
