Whipsaw's Account Talk

Dear Whipsaw,
The loss of a Mother is monumental. My sincerest sympathies as you go forward without your Mother to talk to, confide in and consult with occasionally.

Thank you, everyone, for your concern and sympathy, it is greatly appreciated. My Mom was a week shy of 89 years old, she's seen and done allot. All is well otherwise, life goes on!

I think I need to rebalance, S-Fund not so good.

Anyone think the debt ceiling talks will cause a sell off?

Nope. I was thinking more recession fears, the eventual pivot this year pointing to some impending damage done by the rate hikes. Also, the sell in May thought and other forms of safer investment until the clouds clear up a bit was my guess.

Sorry to hear about your mom Whipsaw. May she rest in peace and may God heal your heart.

I've been distracted for a bit with work, and then my Mom passed a little over a week ago :-( May she rest in peace.

Congrats to the folks who exited, I'm hanging in, holding on and re-assessing.

Condolences Whipsaw. I lost my father on April 23. Had to wait until May 8 to do a service for him at the VA Cemetery due to the volume of our heroes that are passing these days. He was a Korean War Veteran. I held it together pretty well until I saw this:4jzciob7.png

That is my son saluting his grandfather during the Honor Guard Ceremony and 21 Gun Salute. His Grandfather was his hero and his Grandfather was my hero too. Best wishes.

Sorry for your loss.
Those of us that have served understand.
My grandfather served in WI.
My father, his twin brother and oldest brother served in WWII.
My father's youngest brother served in the Korean War.
I was in the Air Force during Vietnam. I maintained Minuteman I & III Missiles at FEW Air Force Base, Cheyenne Wyoming.
I have my grandfather's flag and my father's flag.
Serve and protect.

This place is the best, full of the best people. My father was a B-29 mechanic in the USAF, my grandfather a Master Sergeant who saw action at Anzio. My granduncles on both sides fought in the European and African theaters in WWII. I'm a Naval Aviator Desert Storm Vet. They've all gone before me, someday my time will come to joint them, and my Mom. All of your good sentiments are greatly appreciated, by me and many others here, I'm sure.

Still hanging out in the F-Fund, looks like that was a mistake. Did I mention I hate the F-Fund? It used to run counter to stocks, that doesn't seem to be the case anymore (not for while)

Ugh! :pat: I looked at the AT, I'm only 6 or so from dead last. Where did I go wrong? At least it's only -5% :cheesy:

New strategy, whatever I think I should do - do the opposite!

Feel the same way. No way to get ahead in this market. Been trading sideways for almost a year. As soon as I get some gains they take it away from me again.
