Not sure if its impacting our markets. Just kinda think its gone high enough to need a little pullback. But I thought earnings from last quarter would raise market more.

Light duty sticky pants deployed... :nuts: Have a great weekend everyone!
Might want to deploy the heavy duty pair. Looks a bit gloomy today with all the reporting. But what to do?? This virus thing seems like it will continue to drag the stock market down but it looks like some good news coming out during the week on interest. So is it enough to counter the bad news? My guess is NO. Not sure if I'm bailing to "G" today, but I wish I didn't have to make that decision until closer to 4pm. Good luck everyone.

Great minds think alike! Futures are not pretty this morning... some saying the market will likely shake it off, others that this is a catalyst for a long expected sell off. Some misgivings on Friday's 'sticky pants' decision. Bailing today will likely put me at 0% for the year, and then to call the bottom on the other side...Yikes.. Too late to get out now... Tighten your belts!!

Already seeing movement to climb out of the hole...I try to remember for the last ten years my risk of being out of the market has always been worse than being in. (famous last words.. Lol). My exposure is pretty low.. (L Income fund). Looking for a spot to deploy more.. Getting in is always where I fail it seems

I'm nervous enough I'm bailing while I am still in the green on this move. Things I am considering:
-China government controls the news so we don't know how accurate the information we get is. That said;
-China estimates at least 3 million people traveled out of their quarantined zone (encompassing 50-80 million people)
-Doctors are still working through the vectors but incubation period (no symptoms) are estimated to be up to 2 weeks. Contagion is possible during at least part of this time frame.
-Wuhan is a very large industrial hub in China and, along with that, an extremely large transportation hub. Added onto the start of this is the fact that many of China's ruling class are significant interest holders in those activities.
I want to stay long but until we get an idea on vectors for this virus we can't say how this will pan out. I'm scared enough so am going to G for at least a few days or until till this shakes out.And if you die from the virus with your money in the tsp your kids get to pay tax on the full amount.. Ouch.
