Whipsaw's Account Talk

I'm out, staying there for now. Punching out early today for some 'all you can eat' crabs this afternoon. Great way to kick off the weekend! :D

Have a good one, everybody!

Great way indeed. Nothing like a mess of all you can eat crabs. Of course they will need to be washed down with your favorite beer. Yummy!!! Have a great weekend and enjoy!:D

Putting June in the record books. My play of the month was premature on the downside and essentially was just shy of a net 0. Going to focus more on established trends, areas of support and resistance, and buy and sell signals. For instance, for the last rally trend line was broken last week, I unfortunately exited as the bull flag was forming and should have held. Anyway... Have a great weekend everyone!

A fresh set of IFTs and a full bag of dry powder! Patience...

In the 'little victories' department, I was able to rebuild the carburetor and fix the gas tank on my lawn mower, running well again, should get a few more seasons out of it (bought in '02!).

Be sure to use non ethanol gas from now on and you shouldn't have any more problems.

learned that when I went to rebuild my chainsaw carb one winter years ago. Talk about some slimy crap inside! Running same carb in everything for 8 or 10 years now and they all run like they're brand new.

Hard to find non ethanol gas around here so I use Lucas Ethanol Fuel Conditioner. I would have to travel 10 miles there and back so I use this!

Same here, a good 45 min. on the road to find real gas. I'll have to look for the Lucas fuel conditioner, I use their injector cleaner/upper cylinder lube in the cars... I've used Stabil for the Mercedes which sits for long periods (next on my list). :D

For those in midwest...I get the high octane at Hy-Vee. For my truck I run the cheap stuff but put a can of Sea foam every 3rd tanks.

Go to your nearest farm and home store, they will have it in 2 stroke and 4 stroke. We have Rural King here, few different brands, I'm using VP fuels.

That is great stuff! Especially if you don't run the engine it goes in very often. I use that stuff in a Stihl trimming saw I have but at $4.00 a quart it is too rich for me to run in weed eaters or my bigger chain saws. I go through 5 gallons, at least, of fuel oil mix a year. However, the tools that "go to sleep" for the winter gets some of that premix run through them just before I pack them away.

A whole can of Sea Foam? Isn't it 1/3 for the intake, 1/3 in the crank case (then change the oil), and 1/3 in the tank? I used a whole can of spray SF with the long straw down the intake on my Ford Exploder to clean out the carbon and eliminate pings, darn stuff works. Lucas fuel treatment seems to keep the carbon at bay after that, but the wife drives it and she doesn't add it when she fills up.

Never thought of the crank case...may have to try that. I do a whole can in the gas tank and it keeps the injectors (main thing I worry about with the ehtanol) nice and clean.

I only use the Lucus stuff in my Lawn mowers and weed eaters! Does a good job neutralizing the effects of that alcohol in our gas! Ridiculous!anger.gif

Weed whackers, weed eaters... :dunno: kinda like the difference between hero sandwiches and hoagies. :hmmm: I put some kind of 'tool kit in a can' in the gas for my mower a ways back; it wasn't running right. Well, it started running worse. Then I read the manual (yeah, I know...), and in big letters said 'do not put any fuel additives in the gas.' My guess is they made the carburetor out of some kind of plastic. It ran for a while longer, made all kinds of smoke, sounded like there were a bunch of guys inside beating the engine with ball pein hammers. Towards the end it would diesel and not shut off! I left it on the curb, rattling and smoking. It ran for another 10 min. Some poor soul carted it off. :lmao:

I know. Here I was hoping for a pleasant surprise today and planned on bailing COB. This morning the "rumor" gave the markets the lift I hoped for and the upcoming "news" may crap all over my sticky pants! I'm not sure what to do but this may still be my go to pad day.
