Up two, to #12, not too shabby. Looks like we'll be giving some back today. Got 20% to throw at the next low.

Whipsaw,

Do you have a possible downside entry point from these levels? I had believed until yesterday that the SPX might drop somewhere close to 2040 - 2050. However, yesterday we saw a significant amount of strength in the markets. I can only speculate that liquidity is in expansion and that momentum could be turning decidedly to the upside. If the latter is true, the downside should be shallow and the deployment of additional funds should be nearby. Tia

Tsunami indicated Wednesday for a potential low (lunar phase timing ;) ), FS sees S&P 2020 as a potential low. I'm in agreement with you, strength should carry the day (Asia was up overnight), though earnings reports are mixed this morning, will have to see if we climb out from this mornings low open. The report at the link indicates a strong Oct carries through to Nov w/a potential ~5% upside... That would be a nice Santa Rally. So... possibly today or tomorrow to get fully invested (?)

Whipsaw, if Tsunami is right, we could deploy perhaps tomorrow; but if if FS is right, 2020 might take more time to the downside.

Tom's 2011 chart in today's commentary draws a parallel to past performance in this same timeframe where there was a pullback mid Nov before continuing to further highs... So... FS, there is precedent to your prediction ;)

I fully understand your predicament! It just impossible !! :D But seriously.... I wish I had a highly reliable strategy... I toil and review charts, etc... and in the end, I take everything in that I can see and then just go where the wind blows my sails that day!!! :laugh: But of course, if my strategy was super great I might make too much $$$ and then really have the means to get myself in trouble. :rolleyes: ...gosh but I would love to have that problem...

DBA, thanks for the impetus to jump in last week. :) Rally looked pretty good for most of the day, then the swoon into close. :-/ Still... Positive for the day! :D
 
On the road today, suffered some market data withdrawal on two short occasions. Need to catch up and decide what to do next. Good comments from everyone today! Thanks!
 
Hi Whipsaw!! ..I did increase and reallocate some today.. So now in100%. 70S & 30C. Figures I am betting mre upside but liking S best....will see how this pans out! :smile:
