Whipsaw's Account Talk

Whoa Dare Nellie!! I do tend to be a little over dramatic on occasion.... its the DBA way, but hey... it could be a "Ho Ho Ho and a Bottle of Rum" for us as we sit on an empty gold-free dead man's chest and try to forget our sorrows! lol... Oh da market... she be a wicked one!!! Dow down -143 pts right now... Whaaa…… :worried: She's playing with me's gold and making me sad! Eyes was hopin to exit 25% more thinkin she might not notice... but not lookin ta be da day mate!

You read it here first folks! DBA makes the call, Santa Rally started today! Thanks DBA!!! :usa2: :arms:

Why do these things always seem to happen when I'm on travel? No matter, I wasn't leaning toward the exits anyway. Hmmmmm... Took it in the sticky pants that time. If we stay in a trading range, will work to sell any strength, likely being out of the market more than in. I do have an IfT left, though I may just sit tight till Christmas, or retirement... it was only 3.5%... it was only 3.5%... it was only 3.5%... of course, I'm under water by 7%, again. Anyone see a 7% move up in the cards anywhere?

4% up...yes (possible at least). 7%???, with only using one move!?!?!...not so much! Good luck!

Wow, a 0.18% gain on the C Fund and a -0.33% loss on the S Fund today. Not exactly what I would call a dead cat bounce. After losing all my 2018 gains on this last trade, I am becoming increasingly skeptical about a Santa Rally.:worried:

FWIW I hope I am wrong.

It just seems so useless to have to work so hard, and nothin' ever really seem to come from it.

Tell me about it. It's not a single year either. I'm still trying to make up for the dot com crash. sure, I've had great years, but when you look at a 5 or 10 year average my good years are diluted to insignificance by the bad years. I'm guessing that is true for a lot of people here as well. It would interesting to see the percentage of AT followers that perform worse than the buy and hold crowd over 5 years.

For the everyday 401K holder the buy and hold is mostly the better option. Unless of course you are like many folks on here who use untold amounts of time to manage their account.

Nice! I can hear a Great song! :D one of my favorites! But you may need a great girl to go with it to ease your mind! Gosh... I love Tom Petty... may he rest in peace... he made some awesome music while here and we can still enjoy that! So WS, pull a cocky face like Petty and tell the whole wide world to shove it! lol... then say, watch her walk.. uhhhh!
