Really only replying to this because I spent the weekend with my wife in a hotel 2 weeks ago, and when I pickd a side, she booted me out of it. She likes the side fartherst from the door so if there's a break-in, she either depends on me fending off the intruder, or dying before she does. haha

I see what she picks, then I grab the other side.

This is an interesting, yet silly thread. I sleep on the left side because that's where I'm allowed to sleep. From time to time I jokenly tell my wife I'm taking the right side, but she will have none of it. I do believe she has a maternal instinct, our bedroom door is on the right foot of the bed, closest to the children, so she has priority access. I on the other hand get the priority time needed to "rack the slide" so it's an even exchange.

My wife sleeps with the left side of her body down I sleep right side down. Me sleeping on the left side of the bed and her on the right, if we switched sides we would be breathing into each others faces, I Hate That!

I always sleep on my right side and like to face the door. Bed placement in the house is one of the few decisions I get to make. And since I like to be able to respond first to any noise I may hear, that puts me between whatever it is and my wife.

i have no doubt that all you happily married men sleep on whichever side your wife tells you to, even if it is the left, so quit pretending you are driving the bus, unless instead of sweetums or honeypie your nickname for her is 'the bus', in which case keep driving it.

also there is no middle on a twin bed. but one time i got stuck underneath a twin matress. well, it was between the floor and the twin matress, with a bed frame and box springs in between too but it kept making these awful sounds, like it was enjoying it or something, thank god i couldn't see.
