What is the I fund considered?

Talk about town is that September is a bad month for the Stock Market. My question is "Is the I fund (international) considered part of the "get out of stock market in question?

Bart, I moved your post to the appropriate thread. Yes, the i fund is considered part of the stox. However, in many instances, they seemed to react also to US market a day after there is a big up or down.... Not always though...;-) But then again, what do i know??? ;-)

I would say, in general - yes. Unless the dollar is really tanking, the international markets seem to move in sympothy with U.S. markets.

Cool tool to use!

Hey Bart,

Here is a nice tool that is free to use and I've used it a lot. It compares one stock or indexes to another. I used S&P (C fund), EFA (I fund), British FTSE, and Japan's Nikkei 300. FTSE and Nikkei 300 are major components in the I fund. As you can see globally as we go, goes the rest of the world.
