Website Slow

Yup, sorry about that. Monday and alert day. Just rebooted the servers.

By the end of the week we will be upgrading to new, faster, (expensive) servers. If that doesn't help I don't know what to do.
Ouch! But hopefully it means more revenue!

Working on it. Frustrating, I know.

As Yogi Berra once said... Nobody comes here anymore. It's too crowded. :)

I was in the middle of a post when I got asked to recover webpage. Auto save saved me and my attachments were already there to upload.

Tom, did you switch servers a month or two ago or was it just some upgrade? Whatever it was, do you have a "restore" point? ;)

FYI, the move to "the cloud" servers was completed. I haven't noticed much of a difference and the only way I have to verify that it was actually done was that after it was completed, the server times were different and had to be reset.

We're heading into the busy hour on the forum (11 AM ET 12:00 noon) so if you notice anything (good or bad) performance-wise, etc., let me know so we can check it out. It is Friday and Friday's tend to be a little lighter traffic-wise. After New Years we'll probably get a better idea.

Thanks!

FYI -"The technician assigned to your work order - Work order # 26060 (Convert Physical to Cloud server) has begun work."

Thanks. I've been having the techs watch during the normally slow periods for something wrong. Hopefully it's fixable.

We're supposed to be moving to cloud servers, whatever that actually means, but it should mean better performance once the conversion is completed.

Tom, I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but since the last upgrade the forum/message board link appears lethargic. It's been taking about 10 seconds to load, and it loads chunky. I'm running Firefox V16.0.2 It loads slow at work too (although much of that can be attributed to a proxy server.) 10 seconds may not seem like a lot of time, but when you click on that link as much as I do, it seems like an eternity... :D
