USPS is offering a $20K incentive for voluntary early retirement to non-bargaining employees (management/administrative) to leave by the end of May, 2011. Plus they are going to close 7 district offices around the country. This will surely inundate OPM and increase the length of time for them to process retirement payments much like it did when they offered $15K to 30,000 bargaining employees in 2009.
