Preliminary results are no change for 7-1 open.

The analysis has run to the point of diminishing returns.

If there is time after I finish running the TSP analysis to a satisfactory solution; I will, as usual, resume the GDX analysis ad nauseum and, of course, post the official call.

It's all about the love ! :D

Regardless of today's price action, over the weekend I will try to determine whether:

  • The recent performance was/is due to black swan events (Greece, etc.) and unavoidable, or;
  • The recent performance could've been better with different system parameter settings, or;
  • The recent performance will happen every so often and goes with the territory.

It's probably a combination of your third reason and RMI and JKENs bad luck.

It's probably a combination of your third reason...

It is currently running the analysis for tomorrow's open, but I was able to check some things before starting it. It is looking more and more like JP is correct and the recent price action and system performance is simply the result of the recent price action going against normal historical patterns (because we are near all time lows? because of Greece?)

The real questions are how long will this last, and how often does this happen? As I can't backtest, I will have to continue to keep trading to find out.

I'm personally confident that this will work out when it's all said and done.

The Grind Continues.
