Has anybody been watching the U.S. Open? It's been uncomfortable to watch. The course looks hideous, and that's the way it was designed. And watching great players hit shots that roll back to them after they hit them is making me squeamish. It just looks too tough. How some ended round one under par is beyond me. Those guys are good.

I was watching yesterday Tom. Phil Mickleson was holding his own against the course and you are right, it is an ugly course. One of he guys I play golf with said he had played the course last year and it was one of the difficult days in his golf life.

I played 2 rounds a day for 3 straight days at Saint Andrews in 2001 and links golf is tough. The greens aren't perfect. Some of them need to pick up their skirts and just play.

Jason Day gets dizzy and does a face plant while walking to his final green. It takes him about 20 minutes to complete the hole and is assisted off the course.

Last night, it was painful to watch him. A coworker commented about how Fowler was laughing and having a good time even though he shot poorly. I said, Fowler hasn't won 14 majors and will never experience the level of play Tiger executed, but Tiger knows.....Being a lefty, I have been a long-time Mickelson fan. Also root for Speith and Snedeker. Throw in a Bradley for good measure.

Tiger finishes at +16. Misses the cut.

It was difficult golf to watch. I've heard a lot of complaints about Fox but thought they did a good job. I hope Jason Day is ok and that it is just vertigo. That in itself sucks, but I hope it isn't anything worse.

No doubt the golfers were a bit upset. What a challenging course. However, I don't think the criticisms are fair. The grass grows on sand so they can't put enough water on it to green it up and they haven't had much rain. I just know I wouldn't want to play. Felt bad for D. Johnson haven't that 18th green meltdown. A million bucks lost on a putt. Sheesh.

I thoroughly enjoyed the US Open! The Masters, US Open and The Open are the only tournaments I follow from start to finish. I have no intentions of playing Chambers Bay in my life time! What a challenge!! I know it was difficult! He**, it's the US Open, it's supposed to be a challenge for Pete sake. The top players in the world scoring just under par is what the USGA is after.
Jason Day got an atta boy as far as I'm concerned what gut determination!! I've experienced vertigo and it's a ;swear! Although, I'm a Bubba Watson fan, and since he was no where in contention, I really like Speath and was pulling for Dustin Johnson with all of his past demons hopefully put behind him.... Also would have loved more camera shots of Paulina Gretsky, dang! As we say in the south, "she can make a train take a dirt road".

Billy Horschel what a piece!!! enough said!

Great tournament! Great finish! It was worth the many hours I invested into it this weekend. :)
