TSP Talk Weekly Wrap Up - 02/15/10

Weekly TSP Wrap-up from TSP Talk

The pre-holiday trading made things interesting last week as the indices closed higher, but the swings were difficult to keep up with.

For the week, the C-fund picked up 0.98%, the S-fund led the way with a 3.14% gain, and the I-fund added 1.03%. The F-fund (bonds) dropped 0.51%, and the G-fund was up 0.06%.

For the month, the C-fund is up 0.29%, the S-fund is +1.81%, and the I-fund is down 2.11% as the dollar continues to rally. Bonds are off 0.21% in February, and the G-fund is up 0.10%.

The S&P 500 is still attempting to bottom off of the 200-day EMA reversal, but in the process has formed a bear flag formation, a pattern that typically resolves itself to the downside.

Regardless of the news in Greece, or Washington this week, this bear flag is what we need to watch. If it breaks down, look for at least test of the prior low.

Good luck, and thanks for reading. We will be back here next week with another TSP Wrap Up.
