Four inches of snow in my neck of the woods, still coming down; Now I see it's snowing in the Forum. Merry Christmas all.

Merry Christmas!! Must be beautiful to see the snow come down! Where I'm at, Sky is clear blue and sunny but chilly...sweater weather here in central Texas. Cold enough for a fire... have had it going all day while sipping coffee and listening to Christmas carols on radio.

P.S. Also enjoying the snow fall on the website today!! Thanks Tom!!

Hu??? Just read this: kk, Mauna Kea and Loa must be 13+ thousand feet to get that much snow. Anybody been there??

Up to 7 inches of snow possible on Hawaii summits

HONOLULU – Some people in Hawaii are dreaming of a White Christmas.

A blizzard warning is in effect for the summits of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa on the Big Island of Hawaii. The National Weather Service says up to 7 inches of snow could accumulate.

While snow on the mountains is common, a blizzard with significant accumulation is unusual.

Kimberly Zarate-Amaya of Mountain View says she wants to drive up to Mauna Kea to see the snow but the road is closed Wednesday. The Mauna Kea Weather Service says the road will likely remain closed until Friday.

Residents on the Hilo side of the island will at least get to see a snow-capped Mauna Kea on Christmas, as the snow is expected to remain for a few days.

If I vacationed in Hawaii and it snowed while I was there, I'm pretty sure I'd find a hut somewhere on the beach with a coconut alcoholic drink and cry. I can't get away from the cold here in Pennsylvania, I sure as heck don't wanna see that in paradise!
