TSP Price Performance

Compared to last week, the CSI Funds are starting to go green on the 5-day timeframe while the F-Fund has turned red. An interesting tidbit, over the course of the past 30 days (perhaps longer) the F-Fund has had a fairly consistent inverse relationship to the CSI Funds. Meaning F-Fund up = CSI Funds down This is not always the case but for moment it appears to be, we should take it as a clue as to the prevailing direction of the price action. Also, we should notice the I-Fund has been holding up well, is this the year of the I-Fund? I haven't a clue, that I-Fund is an animal all to its own...

We can see the recent pullback affecting the price performance of the funds. I must say (hint hint) the F-Fund has done a great job this year in performing inverse to the S&P 500.

Over the past 20 days the S-Fund is down -4.73%

JTH, does the chart mean a strong possibility of you using 2nd IFT for next week ?? And maybe the I-Fund...

Honestly, I don't trade based on the TSP Funds price performance, I tend to just stick with the G&S funds regardless of how the other funds are performing. Occasionally I'll use the F-Fund if feels right, as for the I-Fund, I detest it. There's just too many factors in the I-Fund to make it a predictable fund for me to trade. For my next IFT, I'll start forming a plan tonight, once the beer kicks in...

Seasonality suggests tomorrow (Monday) could be a good opportunity to buy in and hold for about 2 weeks.

I'm dedicating these stats to their own thread so we can see the differences side by side, from week to week.

I didn't notice it until now but we can see the I-Fund is leading the pack in the short-term and the S-Fund took the brunt of the recent pullback.

JTH,

Don't mean to sound like a dummy, but could you explain how to read this chart? I'm confused.
