TSP Online Transactions is Down

ATCJeff... I also made an IFT using the Thriftline. I tried again using the website, and got as far as a NEW page that has you ACKNOWLEGE that there is a risk involved in putting your funds in the C, S, and I funds. However, I was still unable to make an IFT online.

What is with this new ACKNOWLEDGE page now?

What we supposed to succumb to now, the G Fund full time? LOL

I'm getting 2-3 "Please hold while we retrieve the information" after each step, then "Unable to process at this time." Good luck to all. How are others doing there IFTs?

I would venture to say that any IFT's done after noon EST today will not take effect until Tuesday. It's a shame that the thriftline AND the website BOTH went down, but then maybe one contributed to the other!?

It's more than a shame. It's incompetence and any organization with a modicum of integrity would do what they could to make amends. Would it overburden them too much to extend the deadline by 10 minutes?

I finally got in after trying for 45 minutes. The TSP website never worked, and the thriftline was also down. However, I finally was put through to a nice lady in southwestern Virginia who was able to slowly get my IFT in at 11:55 am. They were having lots of security system updates that were slowing the system down, and then everyone avalanched them at the last minute which slowed things down even further. Leave it to TSP!

Paladin... Isn't it amazing how most all of the IFT's come in within 30 minutes before noon??? Who woulda thunk it? :worried:

I got a live person finally, too. But they were apparently just sitting on the other side of the phone trying to access the same computer we couldn't get at our end. Worthless.
And they knew.
And they did nothing.
Have a frugal retirement.

Yea, planning is everything!
Do any of the forum leaders have contacts with the TSP board??? I would hope that the TSP Board is made aware of this foul up.
