Been meaning to post this for awhile. Here is the data I could find on the performance of TSP Advice sites. A while back I asked for help tracking some of these numbers down an help with verification that these sites were doing what they said they were doing. With help I found none of the sites people had data for were giving false reports. A couple of these I had no verification for. I list which ones I verified once I find my file.

Many of these sites are new and thus do not have much of a track record. I also have not posted any claims to back tested results since those do not carry much weight.

Any reason why you started with 2001? In 2000 I beat the S&P by 13% :) Oh, and since my recent returns have been a little shabby, how about adding the long-term account?

FS, how much are you getting paid from SystemTrader? If someone is gonna follow anybody, even though ST thinks he's an expert, why not follow Show-me? His moves are documented for two years now. And he's FREE................:p

Keep it up Show-me, I might have to adopt you............;)

Oops, sorry. Not an "expert", a "professional".............

Don't worry, I"m done now. To each their own..........can't protect everyone.

No worry, I'll be here for at least 19 more years.

Not to get too involved here, but I have used several sites, and TSPKey has proved to provide the best results and the most reasonable fee. While I do not always follow the advice to the letter, I am very satisfied with the results, and would be farther along if I had adheared more closely. Just one person's experience. :)

I don't know why I didn't add the 2000 return. 4% was really good considering S&P was -9%. Was your website up and running since January 2000? I actually didn't spend as much time on this post as I planned. I rushed it. I can add it to my spreadsheet and if I post it again (probably will try to keep it updated) I'll add 2000 and the long term version. I could actually add several more. TSPgo has several different versions as do a couple other sites.

I thought I'd update the pay site performances. Anybody know how TSPPilot or TSPAdvisory did? They still have 2005 numbers on their performance. Maybe they are not proud of how they did. TSPExpert I'll get around to calculating, I've got all their moves as this is a free site.

Note: Some of these sites have several different allocations. I posted the most aggressive. I may eventually list them all but I was in a hurry.

Thanks, FS...how about TSPCompanion?http://home.earthlink.net/~rog02/index.html

Aside from the TSPtalk related sites, a 'Fundsurfer Audit' of returns performed, or just as the sites themselves have posted?

I didn't find any history on TSPCompanion. I have been to the site before and like the charts but didn't remember that they listed their allocation until I searched the site more closely. They do state what their current allocation is but no history. (it would be good if someone kept track of them..hint..hint)

I did a lot of checking of sites claims versus what I gathered from people who were members of various sites. I found no discrepencies. This time around I posted the performance listed on each site. I can say that I have tracked TSPkey, and as a group we have tracked TSPgo, TSPTalk, and RevShark.

I've got all the emails from TSPExpert and just haven't entered them yet. TSPWealth had all there moves posted for 2006 but took them down in January and I didn't get a chance to copy them (...forgot). (it would be good if someone kept track of them..hint..hint)

My thoughts were that this is useful information that needs to be cataloged.

lol..Hint taken..I agree, it is very valuable info, but one must be leary of the performance claims of all the sites if not audited. I would think it would be in the interest of the sites themselves to submit their IFTs to TSPtalk, not requiring realtime transfers.

I'd really, really like to make 30% a year......wouldn't you?

So TSPKey seems worth looking into.....maybe giving a shot.

And what would stop one of us from using it and posting our moves here? any rules?

Any Rules ? ..... Just remember it's giving the competetors free advertisement on TSPTalk! We don't want to limit free discussion, but give it some thought!

IMHO (as a member) It's like taking a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken into Church's Chicken and ordering a soda and a jalepeno (Had to throw in the jalepeno) !

Spaf, I'm not sure you followed me, or maybe I'm not following you. My intention was not to join TSPKey, post my moves here, and brag here that TSP was responsible for my moves. (if that is what you're talking about....maybe I misunderstood)

I was asking, what if I joined TSPKey, they sent me emails telling me the moves, I make them and post them here before noon, so that anyone else here, knowing what I was doing because they had been told upfront, would be free to follow if they wanted?

Let's face it, this site is not designed to tell me what to do. One of my trusted leaders posts real late, and who can blame him for waiting as long as possible to make such an important decision. There are others to follow, but let's face it, this site is more every man for himself. That's not to say I'm not getting help from other's contributions.....I am.....it's just not consistent.

I'm getting stressed from all the decision making, because I have to basically use what I have, and I tell you it's nothing but voo doo.

So I'm really wondering if TSPKey would prohibit me from posting my moves here as a member of them. I wonder if others here are TSPKey members.

I don't think TSPKey and this site are competitors at all. One is paid, and one is not. One tells you exactly what to do, one does not.

Where is the Rule that says anybody here has to post why they are doing the TSP Fund percentages that they are doing? Yes this is what I see this site is about with all this great insight people have here. But we as individuals should make our own decisions based on all the info we gather.

I would think that it is possible that there are some that post there percentages here and they are close or the same as TSPkey. Do they have to explain where they got there info from? Nope.

One could join TSPkey and do variations of what they give also if that makes one feel better in regards to all the info given here on what people are doing daily.

For myself I am not in competition with anybody here. I want to get the best I can get of course and will strive to do that. TSPtalk is an awesome site and I am glad to be here. All this IFT stuff is such an individual choice after you have gone through the info given here on this site and elsewhere.

If one wants to join TSPkey and keep up with there info then so be it. It isn't a rule at TSPkey that you have to follow what they say either.

I have looked at TSPkey and what I see is that they take the pressure off the individual in regards to not having to spend tons of time doing tons of daily research which some of us do not have the time to do. Their track record seems to be proving their efforts with all this.

They have a Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual rate for their service. The only way to get the most out of their service is to atleast join one of these and see for oneself how this service works for you.

I am thinking about it. It would be separate from TSPtalk and for me would not be competition between the two. It is another avenue to gain insight to all this.

Anyhoo, did not mean to ramble on here. To each their own in order for one to find their comfort zone in the world of TSP IFTs. LOL

On their website they tell you not post your moves or email them to anybody else because they're in it to make money. It's like copying a CD and making copies of it to your friends. They'll loose out on potential customers if their moves gets posted all over the web. Not sure if you know this but, John(SystemTrader), owner of TSPkey, visits this site frequently after hours. Not sure if he comes here to check our moves or to get the scoop on the I fund.:)

As for your comment,"this site is more every man for himself", I have to agree with you. The "friendly competition" does not seem to be friendly. Don't get me wrong though, some folks here do post very good information and are very helpful, like Griffin. For me, if I have information that I think is important about the next day, I will share. The reason why I post my moves so late is because I have a lot to do. And if I'm working day shift, I usually don't have time to do any research.

btw, I'm not a member of TSPkey.
