Travel Mugs

Here are the new mugs with the logo. I'm hoping they will be ready for the June prize pool (May winners)...

Let me know when they'll be available for purchase. If I can swing it, I'll order one of each.

OK, I ordered this one...

And a few of these that are all plastic / microwavable...

Thanks for your input!!

I like C & A, simply because they have the narrowest bottoms and might possibly fit in my car's cupholder.

Here are 4 side by side:

The one on the left hasn't been shown yet. Stainless band on black plastic in and out.

I got some samples sent to me and here are some comments:

I didn't realize this one was black plastic on the inside. I actually like that. Coffee tastes better to me in plastic than stainless. The outside is all stainless.

This one is impressive and the tallest of the 3. Stainless inside, plastic outside, and that band is actually stainless - not white as it looks in the pictures...

I like this one too. Translucent plastic outside / stainless in the middle with an air pocket between, which should keep drinks hot / cold longer.

Still waiting on a sample of this one, which looks cool to me.

I always liked burro’s original mug.

Always hard to please, I would prefer one with a handle. Not that I ever expect to win one.

I might buy one
, been thinking about it as my favorite travel mug disappeared at work one day.

Burro, I bought the microwave in 83 while posted to Scotland. I found leftover fish and chips to be in need of reheating to melt the white stuff. It’s a Panasonic and still going strong. So I believe the initial expense may have been justified, not sure. As far as operating it, it’s just a radio with a different kind of antenna. Magnetron, klystron, pretty much the same.

We should discuss my frugality elsewhere.

Tom, when you do decide will you still offer them for sale?

PO
Tom sold me one late last week. Received today. Nice mug.

i prefer 'E' in black. or else the one with the handle, it reminds me of my first mug before i got a real one.

the rest with the rubber nubbies remind me of something you might see in an adult bookstore.

also, PO i love you man, but for all those who brew one pot a week and nuke it 4 more times... if you're so old fashioned and frugal to go that route then how did you ever learn how to use a microwave let alone justify the captial expenditure?

I am adding this one to the selection. If they had a darker blue I'd like it, but of these 2 I probably like the black.

This one looks cool. On the expensive side, but perhaps a "1st thru 3rd Place Only" prize.

Also found this nice plastic microwavable mug (if you take off the lid). That looks like a stainless steel stripe but it said it was plastic.

I like the look of the stainless steel mugs, but for some reason I don't like how coffee tastes in them. Plastic doesn't hurt the taste, but they don't look very classy. So I guess we need to decide if we want a nice looking trophy mug, or a functional one. Ceramic is good except they lose the heat quickly.

Either way you decide, I'll probably buy at least one.

I like "C" as well. I didn't much care for the black ringed one. I had two and one broke pretty quickly. I really liked the other type I had, but unfortunately, I left it at Scott and White hospital a few months ago. :( Anyone seen it? There's a reward!! :)

I can probably get an all plastic one, just to add them as option. All ceramic (travel mug) may be too expensive, but I'll check it out. I have one from a coffee shop and the problem with them is they don't stay hot very long. The heat escapes through the ceramic.

Maybe I'll order some of these all-plastic mugs for those who want to put them in the microwave. It might look nice with the TSP Talk logo..

I looked up the ceramic mugs, but even they had the stainless lids.
