With Citi's reverse stock split of 10:1, I had read an article that was concerned about overall trade volume in the market. Citi accounts for 450-500 million trades a day on average with some days topping 1 billion.

So, does anyone have a thoughts on how this is going to affect the overall market and will it be a short term effect or longer term?

I was just curious and I know there are a lot of folks here that can make stuff like this simple for me. :D

Thanks

Volume has been declining across the indexes since the the 2009 March bottom. In the big picture light volume floats markets higher, the only thing we can do is acknowledge this change and not let it affect out trades as much as it did prior to March 2009.
